The thing I hate about the food network is how pretentious the hosts are.

Julia Child took the mystery out of cooking.

You know she died and that is why they are no longer on tv.

I know, God love her at least she had fun on her own terms.

The recipes were almost frightening; they always seemed to be cooking things like steamed spleen or something but they sure did it with spirit didn't they?

I think Ina is the best cook on The Food Network. I used to be a caterer and she cooks like I do.
That said I seldom watch her, because I just don’t watch very much TV. I do have her cook books and use them frequently. The Paris one is a favorite. She has a new one coming out, I think it’s this month.
