Why anyone would put that stupid Frazier on a list is beyond me.....Having a drunk star say dribble all day long is not funny. You've obviously never seen the show.
To: kaylar
yes, I love that one more than the “Pessersby”, being it is more sentimental.

Since all of these shows are on broadcast, I’m going to assume that cable and especially HBO shows were not considered. That is the only possible reason for The Wire to not be #1.

A big 10-4 on Gunsmoke, especially any episode written by Kathleen Hite and directed by Harry Harris. I’ve always considered Matt, Kitty, Doc, Chester and Festus as part of my family. There’s no one I’d rather have on my side than Matt Dillon if I were in a tight.

Any good list of top shows must include the Bob Newhart Show (the first one, with Suzanne Pleshette)The ending of the second Newhart show was the greatest show ending of all time.

Didn’t it, though?
I truly believe there ARE groups of people like the Fisher Island bunch, that manipulate events for profit, and care nothing about destroying people’s lives.
I also think Kale is one of the greatest actors on TV today, man...can that guy act!

I loved that one, too.
Great, great stories. One Step Beyond was like that, too.

Oh, thanks!
I was thinking of Dobie Gillis’ (also a GREAT show, as well as Hey! Landlord) wanna-be girlfriend Zelda, who became a lesbian activist/commie oinko congressman from California.

I meant “commie PINKO, not ‘commie oinko’ “ although I may have coined a new word!
Commie oinko certainly describes a lot of leftist women out there!

The ending of the second Newhart show was the greatest show ending of all time.Followed by the ending of St. Elsewhere.

Any TOP 10 TV show list that doesn’t include TWO AND A HALF MEN...when Buffy makes it....is bogus.

"I also think Kale is one of the greatest actors on TV today, man...can that guy act!" Yeah, he is so intense yet quiet. I called him "Superman without the cape" on the AMC boards.
When TSHTF I want Kale Ingram on my team!

It is a matter of tastes. Frasier is the best British style farce comedy ever on US tv in my view. Married with Children might be the close second best example of that style of comedy that I happen to like.

***Except I dont find them sexy. The fellas in the old tv shows I listed were far sexier to me anyway. I like men who look and act like MEN.***
I agree, the only exception is I think Jethro Gibbs...NCIS looks and acts like a man..yikes he is good..
I cannot stand to watch most of network TV except NCIS and NCIS/New York...
