Palin or 3rd party (lets send them a message)
me

Posted on 11/19/2010 10:44:55 AM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

I don't know where this will lead. I may consider starting a website and find out how many names will sign on to send the GOP a message.

We need to make sure the party (execs, ops, voters, donors) knows that if they throw Sarah under the bus, they will lose us. and then the election.

A lot of people are afraid to support her because they buy the media myth that she can't win. We need to send these people a message that the bigger concern should be losing Palin supporters from within our party.

We need to take a stand and take control of the party right now. We (the tea party) are the reason the GOP got the 60+ seats in the house. they can't win in 2012 without us.

time to be bold

That is not how we choose a candidate in this Republic.

Try this stunt, say hello to BHO and bye to the US as we know it.

We just don’t know. . . one thing I do know now is that I will NEVER waste my vote on another RINO - and if that means no RINO will be elected - well and good. Dole? It was “his turn” according to the RNC. So, I went and marked the ballot for Dole. McCain? It was “his turn” according to the RNC. So, once again, I went and marked the ballot for McCain (and a lot BECAUSE Palin was on the ticket). Next, I think they’ll probably be pushing Mitt Romney; and he won’t be likely to be elected once the DNC and the media get through raking him over the coals and advertising Hillary’s virtues. - Just for the sake of having a fake Republican in office that’ll vote 98% of the time with Democrats, or push socialist policies? No thanks. - The RNC can BE THERE or BE SQUARE. THEY would rather sink any candidate who isn’t in their moderate RINO “club” as to have an “unsophisticated”, in their estimation, candidate who is a solid Conservative. I’d a hundred times rather have Palin in the office than “Big O”. Did I say hundred? More like a thousand times rather. Or more. Haven’t sent any pesos lately to the RNC either. - This election was the handwriting on the wall for the RNC. They ignore it at their peril.

I am not giving money to the GOP, but rather directly to the candidates and those candidates that I support are those on the TEA party plank.

***********************

Many of the old mechanisms which required party structures are now obsolete, given direct donations and ready access to communications without filters.

Party hacks are nearly as quaint as Soviet tractor factories these days.

I could not imagine a more idiotic, destructive idea. Nobody responds well to blackmail and your fantasy would give the US four more years of obama...

Maybe that's your real agenda.

No. Palin as Republican candidate or new SECOND party.

Palin has already briefly suggested as much. If the Republican Party is willing to welcome in the great flood of Tea Party members and supporters, and change their ways, fine.

If not, they will be replaced. And die.

No third party. A new second party. It’s up to the Republican insiders whether they want to change or wither away and die. And it must happen before the next election. Try to impose another Juan McCain or Mitt Romney on us, and that’s all she wrote—for the G.O.P.

Not unless we are successful in our attempt to change the party. We don’t have to leave. The ball is in their court. They either want us, or they don’t. They can’t assume they have our support anymore.

I am so tired of having to hold my nose and vote for RINOs. But I am so disturbed at the thought of another four years of the New Democrat Party, I just don't think the nation can survive it. My only hope is the TP and patriotic individuals can hold the RNC and the establishment's feet to the fire and get a real conservative candidate, be it Palin or someone else.

Sorry, but I’m not in favor of Sarah running for Prez. The issues that caused her to resign as governor of Alaska will only escalate if she is elected President. (That cause being, she didn’t think it fair that taxpaying Alaskans were having to foot the bill for all the frivolous lawsuits filed against her.)

So I take it you`re a supporter of the lesser of two evils philosophy?

Then if you would, please try and answer this; In all the decades this concept has been the guiding force in your party`s decisions, what has it done to stop or even roll back the crawl, walk, or headlong dash to the left by the Federal Government? Has this philosophy turned the tide? Is the bureaucracy any smaller because of it? Has your party embraced truly smaller government?Do we now stand at the precipice of the "people`s Utopian society" and what part has it played in getting us here?

We can debate the issue but results speak louder than words.

One of the worst ideas and incredibly irresponsible ideas I've seen posted on FR - Palin either wins via the process or we move along like adults. Reality is, she is likely will not get the nomination. Other sitting Governors are better prepared, more qualified and likely more electable.

This Nation is much, much bigger than Mrs. Plain. I also believe she would be the first to tell you so and to suggest this idea is nonsense. She will support whomever the GOP nominee is. Hell, she supported John McCain. Can you get to be a bigger RINO than that....

The notion that we should hurt our warriors down range, that we should further their difficulties if Mrs. Plain isn't "given" the nomination is disgusting.

I’m a prophet...I predicted this sort of nonsense would happen:

The GOP can’t be led by Sarah Palin. But can it live without her? (From Client #9’s sidekick)

It’d fracture the conservatives. Palin followers would refuse to vote for a less conservative candidate should Sarah not take the primary. Just look at any thread on FR and you’ll see it already shaping up.

Of course worst case scenario is a Perot situation, (or more recently Murkowski or Crist)...but I think Palin is much too smart to go third party

Exactly the attitude that got us McCain in 2008. Purists who pick one candidate years before the election, and refuse to even consider anybody else; Next will come the attacks on other conservative candidates to tear them down so only your candidate is left standing.

Maybe your next step is to, what, threaten all the GOP primary voters to force them to vote for your candidate?

Like I said. We are tired of the way the system is right now. Someone needs to spit into the eye of the tiger. The Republican party can join the Wigs for all I care at this point, unless things change. I think it will.

But we have a chance to change the party and save the party.

What they say about Palin is a good indicator of what they truly think about us regluar folks

No. Sarah Palin is not a spiteful, small person. She will accede to the RINO before she will do that; unless she thinks she can win. Perot knew that we’d get Clinton if he ran, but I think he was a spiteful, vain man who didn’t really know, or care, what we would be getting in Clinton - if it would get rid of Bush. - Besides, there are other Conservative candidates that would be good to run with Palin. Sarah has been once burned, twice shy with the Katie Couric/Tina Fey media - also the American people are getting wised up to the media who refused to ask Obama any question harder than, “Is your pillow comfy, Sir?” Then later at his inauguration remark drolly, “We really DON’T know Barack Obama, do we”? (Tom Brokaw) DUH!

“I don’t know where this will lead.”

I do. It will lead to 4 more years of President Obama.

1992...Ross Perot, meet President Clinton.
1912...Teddy Roosevelt, meet President Wilson.

Third party parties fail for a reason. They take away a vocal minorty and ensure no majority.

You need to stop this. You have been asked and told before. This stuff is the very reason why you’re not on Sarah’s Ping List. You don’t see that this type of childishness harms her. Sarah Palin wouldn’t countenance this. She is rebuilding the Republican party and if she runs, she will win the nomination on her own, with grassroots efforts and a whole lot of contributions from her millions of supporters.
