    (Stubborn Palin supporting vanity)
Today I read several intriguing stories Palin had floated the idea that it's not too late for someone to enter the GOP race. Read one on Drudge, and saw a couple right here. Suddenly I felt that old optimism return. And would like to mention something as an open suggestion, I did not hear in the speculation and obligatory "she's not running" comments:

Didn't the PDSers win? Why are they not happy? Sarah Palin isn't running --- that's what they wanted, for her not to run for President -well Mission Acomplish. Yet, the continued near hatered around here at just mentioning her name or an article focusing on her brings the same amount of bitterness against her by some here as though this was still in the middle of her 'One Nation' Bus tour this past Summer. Sarah isn't destroying the country like Obama and the Dems are doing right now. Sarah isn't joining hand with the Republican Establishment saying its ok with...

When people were attacking Sarah Palin and calling her damaged, unelectable, too polarizing..ect..I said that we needed to stand by Palin because the media will use the same type of attacks against other conservative candidates as long as they work. Look at the current crop of candidates, how does Sarah Palin look now ? The lesson to be learned here is that we need to fight and stop trying to appease the liberal media. Too many Republicans stopped supporting Sarah Palin so they could find a candidate that is more acceptable to the main stream media. Its very disturbing.

As I'm sure everyone not in a coma or beyond the orbit of Jupiter has heard by now, Sarah Palin announced on Oct. 5, 2011, on the Mark Levin radio show, that she is NOT running for President of the United States in 2012. This has created a wave of horrified disappointment among her supporters, and anything from euphoria to gloating among her detractors. Governor Sarah Palin mattered. She had gathered a terrific following and upset all of the right people. Conservatives loved her and liberals feared her. They were both right to do so. For the conservatives, she had the unique combination of being right on the issues with a national presence, political machine, steel spine, gumption, charm and a salt-of-the-Earth attitude which comes from being one of the people--rather than one of society's elites. She was a fierce independent who battled both parties and their corruption. In every battle she fought her way (and 2008 was not fought her way), she won....

Watching Palin, you know that when she does something, she only does it at 110% or more. And like most politicians, she doesn’t like to lose (see her 2008 night of the election – yeah, she was angry McCain wouldn’t let her speak, but I’m also sure deep down she was bitter over the fact that the American voters bought the whole “hope and changey” platitudes.) And obviously, she wants to fix that bitter taste from 2008. How she accomplishes that (runs, doesn’t run, etc) has been a matter of debate. The biggest hinderance you hear about Palin running for...

I have more to say, but for now: I do not believe this (her ultimate decision) was something she went back and forth over constantly in the past few months or years. I believe that not only did she leave the governorship of Alaska with 2012 and the US presidency in mind--but she left McCain's concession stage the night Barack Obama was elected in '08, with 2012 and the US Presidency in her sights. The 2012 Election cycle is shaping up in many ways to be a mirror image of the 1980 election, which brought the Country and the world the great Ronald Reagan. The Democrats are set to renominate another monumentally failed and politically weak President, as they did with Jimmy Carter in 1980. The GOP Establishment is threatened, genuinely threatened, for the first time since Reagan menaced it thirty years ago, by the advent of a new Conservative superstar, Sarah Palin. And the Establishment champion who is designated to slay the new Conservative dragon? Well, you might say, "The cupboard has never...

Yesterday I wrote a post based on the premise that the media is deliberately avoiding any mention of the potential showdown between Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin in the GOP presidential race to determine who will win the GOP nomination next year and then attempted to provide mounting evidence that this was indeed the case, and in addition why the showdown is inevitable. The potential of anybody in the field to win the nomination is NO longer a valid premise. The departure of Mike Huckabee from the presidential playing field on the evening of May 14th, 2011 on his weekly...

In several threads recently at FR I have focused on the proposition that only the future candidacy of Sarah Palin has the potential to possibly derail Mitt Romney as he mounts a relentless campaign to win the GOP nomination next year and that indeed a Romney-Palin showdown is really inevitable. Now I would like to address why I believe it is in the best interest of Sarah Palin, Palinistas, conservatives, evangelicals, and Tea Party supporters to make that argument much sooner in the GOP primary process than it would be later in the process or not at all. Here are...
  • Palin is not running for the republican nomination. She's going rogue!

Here is the why Romney will be the republican nominee and why Perry or Cain or Bachmann will not save the republicans. Romney is moving left on global warming and staying the course on Romneycare and you will see him take his natural left positions on other issues as the campaign gets underway. His goal is to attract as many democrat voters into the republican open primaries as possible to vote for him. Meanwhile , Bachmann has been brought into the race by the establishment as well as Cain who has no idea. Perry is coming in too. This is...

The latest brouhaha concerning Sarah Palin (overshadowed "briefly" by Wienergate) concerned some impromptu remarks she made regarding the famed ride of Paul Revere. The left started crowing immediately that "these remarks prove she's addled, because everyone knows the famous line 'one if by land, two if by sea'." After the dust had settled, and disinterested authorities had time to digest it, it turns out that the gist of what she had been saying was correct: Paul Revere really *did* warn the Redcoats, that is, tell them that they had lost tactical surprise. It is true that her remarks were somewhat...

Sarah Palin, the woman who put enough sizzle in McCain's 2008 presidential bid to make Republicans think they were finally cooking, now finds herself a few weeks short of stoking her own political firestorm. Palin has managed to maintain the conservative and national spotlight for three years since that failed White House bid, even with the combined might of all the major networks, the late night comics, the newspapers and periodicals, cable TV women's talk shows, and "educated opinion" almost unanimously against her. She has won over the Fox News Channel, Rush Limbaugh, the Tea Party, and Glenn Beck:...
