Did Weaponized IRS Leak Trump’s Tax Returns?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3476475/posts

American Thinker

This idea will be immediately dismissed in some quarters as just another conspiracy theory concocted by the vast right wing but it is not as far-fetched as it sounds. Several items lend credence to the idea that the IRS has once become an arm of the political left targeting conservatives.

Could it really be just coincidence that Hillary Clinton focused on Trump’s failure to release his tax returns ...?

Regarding the possible ‘love child’ of Bill Clinton — seems to me even worse if the ‘father’ doesn’t know for certain.

I’ve been in that situation once. My girlfriend got extra-sweet with a guy — that smile with a certain feminine zest — after telling me she was pregnant and to this day I don’t know if he was the actual father. I had not been entirely careful, but the odds — you know what I mean, right?

Worth repeating ...

“Regulation also favors foreign suppliers over domestic ones: Why buy from high-priced domestic companies with regulation expenses that foreign companies don’t have?”

— rdb3

Right. For example, Hillary’s brother, Hugh Rodham, sued a US tobacco manufacture — largest joint lawsuit in history. Might still be a record. And Hugh Rodham profited more than anyone else. The Clintons used the DOJ to assist him [taxpayer resources].

Sounds wonderful — stick it to Big Tobacco.

Only problem?

China tried to export their cigarettes to the US. ‘Neat’ how that works, ‘aint it? I don’t think they were very popular, but they tried — all that matters to me. I bet that China passed favors to the Clintons such as funneling more campaign cash [illegally].

Secondly, the squiggly light bulb.

[Banned in the name of energy efficiency. A complete scam. Squiggley light bulbs were made in China. The ban on incandascents was targeted to shut down US manfacturing. The traitorous scheme succeeded, and we still buy incandascent bulbs from the annointed ‘winner’. Also — the risk of headaches and disruption of thought processes caused by flourescent bulbs was hidden by media.]

We Need Some Regulatory Patriotism! [2014]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3214012/posts

... But what we need right now is regulatory patriotism – and Executive Branch morality, citizenship, and fealty to our Constitution and laws. What we’re stuck with right now is destructive, and unpatriotic.

* The confiscatory 35% corporate tax rate is embedded in a Tax Code that’s 74,000 pages long, counting important cases and interpretations. It totals some 33 million words (compared to 788,280 in the King James Bible) and is loaded with crony corporatist provisions and complex, indecipherable language.

* A 906-page, 418,779-word (un)Affordable Care Act that has already metastasized into more than 10,000 pages of complex, often contradictory regulations, with more interpretations and clarifications to come.

* The 2,300-page Dodd-Frank law has already spawned over 14,000 pages of banking and financial rules.

* Over 175,000 pages in the Code of Federal Regulations are coupled with more than 1.4 million pages of tiny-type Federal Register proposed and final rules published just since 1993, at the rate of over 71,000 pages per year. Doctors, patients, insurers, businesses large and small – much less average citizens – cannot possibly read, comprehend or follow this onslaught.

* At least 4,450 federal crimes are embedded in those laws and regulations (with some 500 new crimes added per decade) – often for minor infractions like failing to complete or file precisely correct paperwork for selling orchids or importing wood for guitars. Neither inability to understand complex edicts, lack of knowledge that they could possibly exist, nor absence of intent to violate them is a defense, and the “crime” can bring military swat teams through doors, and land “violators” in prison for months or years.

* Production Tax Credits and other sweetheart “green” energy subsidies and grants total some $40 billion a year – for ethanol producers and folks like Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Mr. Tom Kiernan, who is both CEO of the American Wind Energy Association and treasurer of the League of Conservation Voters, which gives millions to mostly Democratic candidates to perpetuate the arrangements.

* American businesses and families must pay $1.9 trillion per year to comply with these mountains of regulations. That’s one-eighth of the nation’s Gross Domestic Product; it’s almost all the corporate money now held overseas: $5,937 a year for every American citizen – and far more than the $1.6 trillion in direct economic losses that re-insurer Munich Re blames on weather-related disasters between 1980 and 2011.

* $353 billion of these regulatory costs are inflicted by the Environmental Protection Agency alone, say Competitive Enterprise Institute experts who prepared the $1.9 trillion regulatory costs analysis for 2013.

Government Gold-Plating
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3219925/posts

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) released his annual Wastebook this past week. It contains a laundry list of doozies. The U.S. government’s gold-plating operations included $190,000 to study compost digested by worms, $297 million for the purchase of an unused mega blimp, and $1 million on a Virginia bus stop where only 15 people can huddle under a half-baked roof. These questionable (read: absurd) expenditures only represent the tip of the iceberg... [snip]

Insto-History of US Politics:

To a Christian concept of good and evil is untainted. The economic impact on such a shift in morality’s gravitational pull can be charted in the US economy. Liberals only failed twice. Hitler exposed their eugenics philosophy as evil, and JFK stared down their close relationship with the KKK [although Clinton’s eulogy of Senator Byrd was disturbing].

Otherwise liberalism [aka ‘progressivism’] has ultimately triumphed in every front ever since Herbert Hoover meddled with the Harding boom years. And prior to Harding, it was progressive meddling that led to Teddy Roosevelt’s economic ‘panic’ and Woodrow Wilson’s economic ‘panic’.

Our nation’s Chistian principles are the foundation of all great moments in US history, and this has been one of the world’s best friends of the Jewish faith as well. Lately the US voters have supported voters who ‘booed’ God [note the DNC convention of 2012], reelected a man who mocked Christians [the ‘Bitter Clinger’ quote], and supported anti-semites and anti-zionists in politics. [Note the blessing and curse of treatment toward Abraham’s descendents: .] Perhaps worse, we have voters who are cavalier about tax money funding ‘art’ that mocks Him.

A lesson from the yacht tax [Nealz Nuze, 2011]

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/3477285/posts

http://www.wsbradio.com/weblogs/nealz-nuze/2011/jun/30/lesson-yacht-tax ^ | Neal Boortz

The current demonization of jets is eerily similar to the demonization of yacht owners in the early 1990s. Back in 1990, George (read my lips, no new taxes) H. W. Bush passed a budget, which included a “luxury tax” on yachts over $100,000 in addition to jewelry, furs, etc. At the time, the Joint Committee on Taxation believed that in 1991 it would be able to rack up $31 million from these luxury taxes. What was reality? They collected just $16 million. Oops. You see, people changed their behavior in response to new tax laws. Duhhhhhh. And then what do you know! These new taxes had an effect on the economy. George Will explains the economic consequences of this luxury tax:

According to a study done for the Joint Economic Committee, the tax destroyed 330 jobs in jewelry manufacturing, 1,470 in the aircraft industry and 7,600 in the boating industry. The job losses cost the government a total of $24.2 million in unemployment benefits and lost income tax revenues. So the net effect of the taxes was a loss of $7.6 million in fiscal 1991, which means the government projection was off by $38.6 million.

Yes -— when the screams of those who had lost their jobs were heard, and the failure of the new taxes to generate revenue was recognized, the taxes were repealed. Trouble is, the yacht building that had flown overseas as a result of the tax never really returned. But that’s OK, I guess -— because only rich people buy yachts, right? Corporate CEOs and people like that. So screw them. If middle class people lose jobs in shipyards -— well then that’s the price we just have to pay.

Neal Boortz
