Okay folks, what happens from here? Seriously, is there a chance that the toothpaste can be put back into the tube with respect to healthcare, cap & trade, etc? I know there are many smart folks in here, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.

What is the statutory authority under which the EPA can create a taxing scheme?

Good people have to rise up and become far worse than the evil they must destroy.

This makes no sense. People rising up against the Communists or the NAZIS would have been “far worse than the evil they must destroy”? There is no moral imperative in the way you seem to see it.

EPA To Impose Cap & Trade, What Now?

When in hand-to-hand combat to the death with an enemy and have been unarmed.....

.....you choke them, you poke their eyes out, you try to drown them.

The EPA and the radical left is in a fight to the death with what America and freedom are.

We must REMOVE ALL FUNDING. Figuratively starve them to death, choke them, drown them.

Remove ALL RESEARCH GRANTS. Figuratively poke their eyes out and blind them.

We will not be able to win this without killing the EPA beast!

We shall see ... my earnest prayer is that you are right, that a majority of VOTING Americans will be awake to the Spirit of His Grace toward us and use our votes to stop this devilish plummet into the hell of secularism and degeneracy.

I suspect one of the main things that stirs hate from/in the media scum, the leftist idiots, and elite Rove & Kondracke is the clarity of Sarah's humility before the Lord! Secular scum cannot stand someone who humbles herself before the Lord of Glory when making important decisions ... Esthers aren't pretty to these scum! The strategy to obfuscate Sarah's faith in The Lord is to paint her as intellectually inferior, without them being honest enough to say they hate her for her religious faithfulness. But that IS what they hate about Sarah. The sham of barry the bastard, pseudo-intellectual and faux christian fits the mold of what the secularist love in their dead-soul leaders.

What the hell difference would that make?

Ah, yes. Good point. Posting to FR is what will truly make a difference. For best results stop all political activity after that.

Who is going to stop these unelected bureaucrats from ruling by fiat? The new Congress?

At least posting to FR gives one a voice, however small. Stopping ¨all political activity after that¨ came from you.

I like the cut of your jib. I guess I am old and jaded. I too began watching politics in earnest during the X42 years. I have been on this site for longer than I can admit to, and have been disappointed many many times by the Republicans. Chief among them, Gingrich, Dole, McCain, Bush I & II, Sphincter, the entire House Republicans, the Senate Republicans during impeachment..et al. I cannot remember the name of the man chosen to push the case, but I do remember him being madder than heck over the weak testicles of our side.

Yes it is, especially if those being revived are set on NOT BEING FOOLED AGAIN. No more BS, we want change. Not incremental political change, but a fix akin to the change in Poland, the Ukraine, the US of A in 1787.

I appreciate that, friend. I wouldn't feel optimistic and full of spit and vinegar, if I weren't seeing some tangible results in the politi-sphere. We're making headway. The path to success at this point, is to just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I guess I am old and jaded. I too began watching politics in earnest during the X42 years. I...have been disappointed many many times by the Republicans. Chief among them, Gingrich, Dole, McCain, Bush I & II, Sphincter, the entire House Republicans, the Senate Republicans during impeachment...

I hear you. I think we've all been disappointed by those beltway Republicrats. But, take heart. We're in a new day, and a whole new breed of animal is headed to Washington.

Of course, we'll have to keep a sharp eye on them for any signs of 'beltway disease', but as I said before, the people are now engaged like never before, which is the prime factor in the sea change I mentioned. The new crew has to know that they'll be scrutinized like no other congressional reps before them. I think it'll make a huge difference in their performance.

Like others have said, we've probably got two more election cycles to go, before we can fully clean out the old guard, so our work isn't finished by any means. Even when we've achieved a lock on the Legislative and the Executive branches, we've still got the rot in the de facto Fourth Branch of government, the Administrative, to clean out. That's going to be a huge job.

In the meantime, we've made some great gains recently. We just need to keep pushing ahead.

It will take much more than gaining control of congress and the presidency. The entire federal apparatus will have to be purged. Tens of thousands of bureaucrats, agents, and other types of officials will have to go. Getting these people to accept the loss of their parasitic way of life will lead to violence on a scale we have not seen on American soil since the Civil War. These feds will fight back with everything they can muster, and their army will be made of the freeloader class and the radicalized left.

The only "good side" is that the majority of this group don't know which end of a rifle a bullet comes out of. However, the gang bangers could be a problem but I'm confident they will lose eventually.

What will happen is, the dollar bubble will burst. The country will be in such dire straits that people will riot and protest violently. Govt will step in to quell the violence, and clamp down on all dissidents. The left will smile, as they will then have the Republicans, conservatives under complete control. WE ARE SO EFFED. The only thing that can save us is God, or God’s hand working with the right humans.

I don't think the left is that powerful. Sure what you say can happen but there will be a point that they will run out of resources, they will implode and turn on each other, let alone boss us around. In that case, not only they will be fighting us but the various factions of the left will fight each other. Yeah, for that short term, they might have the upper hand, but between us and atrophy, they will fail. Then the whole thing collapses and we have to rebuild. The thing I think we all fear and hate to see is all the suffering in between and after.

I'm an avid role playing gamer and love this one game, The Morrow Project, where a gifted industrialist gets other captains of industry together into a system to rebuild the U.S. after a collapse (economic, stomic war, you name it). If I was a billionaire, I'd shunt away equipment, fuel, resources, etc., for that purpose.

They will definitely be a pathetic lot, and they will certainly lose.

The left is ALL powerful, they have the CIC to sic the military on anybody they want, the courts to tell them they are right to do so, and the purse strings to starve their enemies. I don’t believe that the Congress matters one bit, at least until the Supreme Court steps in a reins in the Executive.
