Law and Order SVU Penetration episode regarding Ground Zero mosque (vanity)

Today I was at a dinner party and I noticed that the Law and Order SVU was on television. I wasn't really paying attention to what was on TV at the time, but I noticed that they had a tea party scene included in the episode.

In this scene, there were protesters outside the construction site of the future Ground Zero mosque, protesting the building of the mosque. The man and woman portraying the special units (I don't watch this show so I don't know their names) commenced to counteract the protest by saying this was only going to be a community center, a place to play basketball, among other ludicrous responses. The actors portraying the protesters were saying that what he some kind of religious zealot nut as if the tea party is some kind of enemy. That's all I could recall by watching this episode, because I was of the course not paying attention to the episode.

When I got home tonight I watched it online to make sure that is what they were saying, and of course I was right. Now I don't get why they portray Americans as the enemy, and they don't think of it as something not sacred to those who died on 9/11. I find it rather sickening how this show has a title opening that has a waving American flag and they somehow include their version of "patriots" in this episode to try and prove that we are wrong.

It’s conditioning. Just like the West Wing was. Think of these shows as modern morality plays or propaganda to influence the people into thinking a certain way.

It’s just more subtle now. The methods are the same. It’s how otherwise normal people are conditioned to hate America, Christianity, heterosexuality, the work ethic, etc.

I didn’t see the episode but I’d be surprised if the actor who portrays Stabler would agree to spout that kind of horse manure. That character, Detective Stabler, is a former Marine and has usually been the voice of sanity on that program.

TV shows and movies portray a liberal view, that’s the answer.

Do you ever see TV or movies portray homosexuality in a bad light, for example?

Is a terrorist ever a Muslim, or any minority for that matter? Aren’t they typically caucasian, skin head type dudes?

How often are people portrayed having casual sex, without consequences, awareness of consequences, or any discussion of same? How often is casual sex presented as normal everyday behavior?

I’m sure there are other examples, but you get the idea. Liberals run the entertainment industry, and the most extreme have a social/political agenda they want to push through entertainment. Even the less extreme believe in casual sex, so they see nothing wrong with its portrayal. The most extreme bend over backwards to avoid offending Muslims or minorities, but go out of their way to insult mainstream Christianity.

The agenda is out there.

Has no one noticed how often these shows glamorize Gov./LE flaunting constitutional constraints on their power?

Warrantless searches, intimidation of “suspects”, holding persons without charges, beating’s to get confessions, etc., ALL are now routinely portrayed as acceptable, without condemnation.

The “Cops” are ALWAYS right, and anything they do to prove their case is OK.

Pure brainwashing, Gov. Org. at all levels is to be seen as infallible, and our rights are a mere remnant, to be erased as quickly as possible.

Doubt it?
Just watch one evening of Cop/Gov Agent programming, see if you can count the examples of shrugging off legal restraints on their powers.
Some make token mention of restrictions, but then follow them up with excuses for why the situation is so dire that restrictions may be ignored with impunity.

I have noticed one exception. The show “Bones”. Bones is agnostic, Booth is a pretty good Catholic, former military, in the first season her boss was a deacon in his local church. In one epsiode they had a muslim suicide bomber kill his brother when said brother became a Christian. For the most part, they steer clear of political issues and when they do, they present opposing viewpoints. It’s not perfect, but I think it’s one of the better options.

The female actress is Mariska Hargitay, the daughter of Jane Mansfield.

Christopher Meloni plays the male Dick.

The producer of the show is a LIB. (Dick Wolf)

Law and Order SVU exists to malign parents. Kids are harmed in every way imaginable by their own incompetent, sometimes downright evil parents. Businessmen and the clergy also are portrayed in a bad light, consistently. Only the good guys-the gubmint, can rid society of these scourges.

I can't watch it anymore.

There was a day when I wouldn’t miss NCIS.

I haven’t watched it since an episode that showed a Christian brother killing his brother because he had become Muslim. Yeah, we Christians are the ones who do honor killings.

you must not watch much. they have produced a large
number of shows that go after american military, soldiers
who have been in iraq and afghanistan, mormons, etc.
according to their writers, you are more likely to be
killed in new york by visiting christian than anyone
else. saw recent rerun of episode in which former female
soldier is killed because she was gonna testify against
comrades for murdering iraqi people.

I’ve watched that show several times, but never again. Everytime I watch an episode I end up completely depressed. If it isn’t some horrific sex crime, it’s that they portray the cops as almost as mentally disturbed as the perps. Not that they show the cops as bad people, they don’t, but they are portrayed as depressed, unhappy, maladjusted. And that’s how the show makes me feel, so I gave it up.

We also tried the new Law and Order Los Angeles (or whatever it is), it was just dreadful. Not ideologically or anything, just really bad TV. We couldn’t believe it was a L & O show at all.

I also won’t watch CSI New York, even though of course I like Gary Sinise so much. They had one episode of that that was so disturbing I’m bothered by it to this day. I never liked it because I never thought it had a real NYC feel to it, but after that one episode, forgetaboutit!

Thanks for letting me dump on all the TV shows I dislike!

Happy New Year and happy viewing in 2011!

I've got to disagree with you on this one amigo. “Bones” was initially a good show, and I agree with you on your assessment of bones and Booth, but it's the blatent sexual amorality of the show that turned me away.

"Law and Order" = anti-American propaganda. Has been for years.

Wet dreams for the left wing fascists.

Dick Wolf is a has been a left wing douchebag. He thinks that NYPD is the most liberal Police dept in the country.
I have known a few NYPD members and they were far from left wing. Most were USMC and it would break their arm to vote for a liberal.

Dr. Brennan is an atheist who does not like Christianity. She is constantly shown to a tactless person on the subject.
