Text that appeared on the website of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, a "pro-family" organization which is against gay marriage and ''the homosexual lifestyle.'' They are currently promoting a marriage conference instructed by "pastors and Bible teachers." After a gay blog, GoodAsYou, posted a screen capture from the site yesterday, the sponsorship from the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A quickly became an online controversy.

Didn’t they try this with Cracker Barrel? Makes me want to eat at these establishments even more. ‘Chick’ has AWESOME service. Also shop at Hobby Lobby because they are ‘Christian owned;.
When I was a teenager, we had a guy in our Boy Scout troop, who was fascintaed with all things military. He worked his way through private high school by working at Chick Fillet. Today, he is a gay rights activist. Go figure.
Mall? There's a Chick-Fil-A at the Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio, and even it is closed on Sunday.

Things like this aren’t predictable. Sometimes people raised in one environment become disillusioned for reasons not always based on reason. You can have people who suddenly find themselves in an environment that causes them to question everything they thought they knew. I was far more liberal when I was in school. I held some what I later realized were very Marxist views, I was not nearly as strongly against abortion though I never bought the it’s my body argument which is an emotional canard, the gay issue wasn’t even on the radar for me till I became interested in the issue online. I spent a lot of time in the library researching the issues because I didn’t know a whole lot about the issues from the standpoint of politics. Most don’t have that luxury. I didn’t really know who was liberal or conservative but I perceived that some individuals like Lawrence Tribe were clearly full of crap and intellectually dishonest.
The gay activism is one that I see that is a unique threat to liberty much like Environmentalism. Gay activism and liberal social activism is particularly dangerous because of the level of thought control and intimidation that is seen as acceptable and the claim that they are being denied “basic human rights” which is just not true. It becomes impossible to address sexual issues or even issues of free will in a society dominated by social liberalism where even to suggest that a person has a choice in how they conduct themselves and respond to sexual stimuli is labeled hate.
I would love to support them but however, most of the food is deep fried which I need to stay away from ! But also, I haven’t been there for a long time and maybe they might offer something more healthy.

Me too! Not a big fan of chicken sandwiches but my kids think CF is the best fast food around! In fact, they used CF as a meeting place every Tuesday when in HS. All the kids gathered there for dinner and chit chat. It was THE place to go!

They have healthy choices and have for at least 11-12 years, grilled chicken, salads, and fruit cups. I am on low carb diet and have no problem finding a good choice there.
