So far, two Republican governors Floridas Rick Scott and Alaskas Sean Parnell have announced they will implement no part of ObamaCare. In the interest of both principle and practicality, the other 48 governors should follow their lead.

Quinn, the Rat in Illinois, won’t do it!

I hope our new governor Nathan Deal in GA decides to refuse to implement it. If you give a party and nobody comes it kind of screws things up.

Our new Republican majority General Assembly in North Carolina is nearly ready to hand their bill over to our Democrat Governor (Bev Perdue) for expected veto. This should be fun. Go look on WRAL website link.

There are parts of this though that are not up to the States, unfortunately.
Although not as big a deal as the individual mandate, one nugget tucked into this monstrosity is the change in FSA (Flexible Savings (Spending) Accounts). If your employer offers one of these, you now need a prescription from your doctor to receive OTC medicines for allergy, heartburn, children's cough medicine, etc. It's ridiculous and a hassle and all FSA providers / employers have to abide by the rule when applying for reimbursement. The net effect is to drive people away from these plans and make it as hard as possible to use.

True, but I’m not sure even Brady would’ve had the stomach for it. Its the Combine we’re talking about, after all.

Absolutely, they should all refuse to implement it. They would be implementing a law that is currently under a defacto injunction as unconstitutional. Implementing it puts them in violation of their oath of office.

If it happens in a state, the state has a say in how it gets enforced. Witness Texas and other states refusing EPA and other fed regs, and even threatening arrest of fed enforcers, on a belief that fed jurisdiction is finite after all and can be countered on a Tenth Amendment or other constitutional basis without prior approval from SCOTUS. I believe any portion of Obamacare being implemented anywhere within a state's jurisdiction could be deflected indefinitely if the governor had the political will to do so.

Good point - not sure though where the responsibilty would lie with this though - the state where I live (NJ) - where we are HQ’d (OH) or where the plan is adminstered (IL). It would be much easier on all of us if all 57 states decided to opt out.
