Fire up yer TVs ...
Working late... play by play would be welcome for those without TVs...
Letterman announced Rand Paul b4 commercial - then had some putz on from the Carnegie Deli ...
Now back to commercial ...
Dave showed his new book.
He showed up in jeans and a jacket and Dave poked fun.
Watching MI-5...I’ll try to switch and catch up!
Dave pointed out that Al Franken is his “mentor”.
Al Franken told him Letterman isn’t funny....don’t be funnier than Letterman.
Dave asking what “Republican” means.
Rand says “living within your means”.
Dave asks about Tea Party. Rand says you have to go city by city.
Rand says Tea Partiers tell him that if they vote to bankrupt, Tea party will vote out.
Dave asks about “Democrats”
Rand says, “Democrats ALWAYS spending too much money...Republicans only sometimes spending too much money.”
Dave asking what happens if we keep borrowing.
Rand says, Tax, borrow or print....trying to explain ...Dave interrupted.
Rand saying, Grow the private sector and shrink the public sector.
Dave asks if we’re hurting the middle class?
Rand says no ... private sector does everything better... like late night comedy.
Dave saying public sector holds all middle class jobs......we’re hurting.
Rand says no ... we leave much to the private sector...we should have only the public sector doing what it absolutely NEEDS to do.
Rand says public sector inefficient.
They get different signals....the public sector isn’t accountable.
Dave suggesting taxing the rich ... small clapping from audience.
Rand explaining that the rich pay the taxes.
Dave saying something wrong with Rand’s numbers...
*clapping*
Dave suggests raising taxes in Wisconsin to save public jobs.
Rand says average teacher makes 89,000
Dave saying they should make TWICE THAT.
Dave lamenting public schools as failing.
Rand says, “we pay...we pay...and still schools fail.”
Rand says controlling education from Washington is wrong.
Dave says...”let’s throw money at education if anything”
Letterman is back ...
Paul is pluggin’ his new book, “The Tea Party Goes To Washington” ...
Stupid chit-chat right now ...
Paul tells Letterman he stands for fiscal responsibility - living within our means ...
Paul sez DEMs ALWAYS spend too much money - points out the $13T debt ...
He sez he favors expanding the private sector - it does a better job growing the economy than the government ...
Letterman keeps asking why Paul doesn’t want to soak the rich - prevents Paul from getting his point across ...
The End ...
Interview done...
THAT QUICK.
Dave said, “I think this guy’s wrong about things...I just can’t say why....”
Dave was an IDIOT.
Rand Paul smoked Dave with logic...Dave was beside himself...”he didn’t just know why”...hahahahahahaha
Don’t let those pesky facts stop you from displaying your ignorance Dave.
How many times did Letterman call himself dumb/stupid? Then claimed he new Rand was wrong but couldn’t explain why... Letterman is classless and is why I stopped watching him years ago....
I just saw the interview, Dave was an idiot but not rude.
Paul did a good job with facts and calm exterior, but he looked uncomfortable being there.
Last refuge of a liberal when presented with facts.
Dave ‘s real mentor was a guy named I think Paul Gibson? WLW-T Cincinnati back in the 50’s . Dave is still using his schtick
So one of the left’s pet RINOs is being brought out to be displayed by his handler Letterman.
Dave was talking about Rand’s “mentor”.
I guess maybe he was assigned to Franken.
Rand said someone told him something like, “You’ll spend awhile wandering around the hallowed halls thinking, ‘How did I get here?’ Then eventually you’ll start looking at colleagues and thinking, ‘How did THEY get here?’”
