What percentage of FreeRepublic Religious posts have more than 3 responses? (I bet that this will not be one of them.)

Just curious. A graph would be helpful from someone more capable and less lazy than myself.

So. Are you going to post your paper when it’s finished?

I'd like to know what percentage of religious threads ultimately devolve into UFOs and ET Squared.

ET Squared, for the unaware, is the involvement of Extra Terrestrials in End Times prophecy. For more on ET Squared, check out this religious post that got more than 60 replies, even though it was mistakenly not posted in the Religious Forum:

Farrakhan's Nation of Islam to Argue UFOs Are Real

Wasn’t she delivered?

Didn’t she become an authentic Christian?

Since I ignore religious threads like the plague unless they are actually part of a news story, I wouldn't know.
I understand that there is a religion forum here; Too bad its use is not universal.

Oh, now. You were all calmed down and here you are with your knickers in a twist again. I hope you had a relaxing Saturday otherwise.

Don't know. Originally I thought it was New Age garbage, even though I enjoyed the music. Now it seems she has been delivered and the works is not a mockery of The Magificat but an "expansion" (my word) of it.

FWIW I am not a Catholic so I have very little knowledge of the subject.

Still enjoy the music though.

I think that these stupid “devotional” posts with that phony Joel Osteen should be banned.

You know, I bet if you actually TITLED a thread “Catholic vs. Presbyterian Cage Match”, you’d get more than thirty posts.

Maybe I assume bandwidth to be more valuable than it is, but I agree.

Sadly, the Religion Mod would probably take it down.

Now, in order to determine statistical significance, if any, I highly suggest you apply your National Geographic magnifying glass to responses on Free Republic as a whole.

What is the average for that whole, compared to the subset? Is there a meaningful variation between the two? Would you deem the entire forum unnecessary if it fails to meet some arbitrary measure of success as defined by ... whom? You?

What Ive seen quite a bit of is someone trying to get people out of certain religions or sects without mentioning a religion to actually go to. It seems more focused on getting people out of what you dont like as opposed to getting people into the one they do like.

The sometimes-raucous donneybrook known as the FR Religion Forum sounds like freedom to me, gorush. With religious speech being increasingly censored and removed from the public square, it absolutely does belong on a Constitutional Conservative site such as FR. This isn't some glass ant farm constructed for the benefit and marketing of Republicans, it's much larger than that. In many ways it's a refuge, a last best hope. Too bad many Republicans don't get it. At least some do, unlike Democrats.
