My thoughts on GaGa...

I love pop music which is why Idol appeals to me. So, in that regard I have enjoyed several of Lady GaGa’s songs. I could even look past her ridiculous antics and outfits and just listen to the music. I won’t ever attend a concert of hers so what do I care if she wants to make a fool of herself wearing meat?

It’s the politics and social agenda of these people which always ultimately makes me stop listening. I didn’t exactly care for the implications made in “Born This Way”. I get SO SICK of the gay agenda being hurled at me. But as a tune, I kinda found the sound catchy and would sing to it.

But then she came out with this “Judas” song. Right at Easter time and I am offended and disgusted with the anti-Christian undertones in it. Blasphemy is a step too far for me. I’ll never buy another record she makes now.

The same happened with me with Dixie Chicks. I loved their music then they had to go and get political. And not just a song and a few random comments as Pink has (which I attribute partly to her age and ignorance. They did concerts and bashed their country and thumbed their noses at the very heart of their fan base, country music listeners who are by and large conservative gun lovin, country lovin common folks. I have since never purchased nor even listened to a song they’ve made. They disgust me.

Maybe it was the plaid shirt but it was too far afield from the Youngblood I’m used to. That was Youngblood lite.

The judges being so obviously anti Haley might get Haley the sympathy vote.

That's what I was thinking. We'll see tonight, but she probably has her bags packed already anyway. Randy and J-Lo were unfair to say the least; seems like Ran just couldn't stop bitching on Hales.

She made unfortunate choices of material last night, and then was so angry for the second song, she screamed and shouted the whole thing. She'll be better off away from those judges and the toast of the town for the coming week. She's given some good performances of good material the past few weeks, so too bad she tanked last night.

Idol needs new judges!!

I’ll have to go listen to the other versions of the song.

There is something so unlikable about Haley and I can’t put my finger on it.

Wow, that is fascinating about your dad. Tom Jones was the one who got all the panties and hotel keys thrown at him.

I had a friend whose Dad was an emergency doc and back in the 70s disco era a young man broke his leg in a club, falling off his platform shoes. When they brought him to the ER they had to cut his tight pants off, and there attached to his thigh was a giant sausage of some kind!

I bet the dogs really sniffed his crotch!

Lauren had a miracle. THAT was the Lauren we saw and heard 3-4 weeks ago.

James was so-so, a lot of screaming and posing, etc.

It was Scotty’s night, at least for humor and for this comment: “We don’t have GaGa down in Countryland.”

Haha.

The other precious moment was when Lauren did her little shoulder shrug thing with Seacrest. She was adorable.

Gotta be careful not to over do "precious" and "adorable" though. After awhile, no one believes it. One of the judges commented that she sounded her most mature last night; that is the way for Lauren to go. Because Haley tanked last night, was cut in pieces by the judges and talked back, Lauren will (most likely) survive into next week. But will she go back to being a baby again...???

What we didn't see ...

Last night fans got to watch Lady Gaga mentor the "American Idol" contestants, but one thing they didn't see ... her clear plastic penis heels.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Something is VERY WRONG with the Gaga. She lives for shock value alone. It’s really sick. I actually like some of her songs too. But she is mentally ill.

I think Scotty should have boiled his cross in vinegar and then kissed it. :)

Englebert Humperdink was singing the same songs as Tom Jones but he didn’t stuff his slacks. He had some extra children though.

I won't be attending tonight. I'm in a dispute with Bank of America and the headache they've so graciously given me requires TLC.

BOA are corrupt. Does the Senate care? No. Does the House care? No. They are all buttoned up in their DC residences and their lavish places back home not to mention their free vehicles. As long as the elitists in DC are good, BOA can stay corrupt - why the heck should our office holders care?

OK, I just went to Youtube and watched a very sweaty live performance of Tom Jones from the 70s singing “I Who Have Nothing.” You know what blew me away? Two things.

1. Tom just had finished another song, obviously, and was fatigued, sweaty, and feeling proud, the way he was waving his arms as if to thank the crowd for their applause (which was not a part of the vid). So he was NOT in the persona of a humble, poor guy who loves this girl who is way out of his league. Yet then he wipes off his sweat and begins the song. He is immediately transformed into that heartsick, longing lad. Like all magical performers, he BROUGHT the lyrics to life, effortlessly.

Haley did not. Her attempt at emotion during the song was wholly fake.

2. Tom Jones did not scream. He enunciated. So I could actually hear the lyrics, of how he was not the one squiring the lady to fancy places, but that he was outside the window watching the rich guy wine and dine his love.

I heard NONE of those tender lyrics from Haley. Instead, I got a indepth view of the dentist’s work on her veneers. The elderly lyricist was in the audience last night, and she dissed him by not enunciating his heartfelt song at all.

Thanks for sending me to the research lab (YouTube), Netizen.
