They taped the big celeb finale a little while ago and the tickets were free. A bunch of my ex-workers are huge Oprah fans. My facebook wall was filled with posts that said things like, “I’m still in awe of what I saw yesterday! Wow! Just wow.” I kept thinking, “Really?!? You too? WTH?”

....recently singer Stevie Nicks was on AI. Husband is a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to AI.
For if it wasn’t sung before 1980 then it’s worthless claptrap and not worth his ears. And all of the AI candidates can’t sing, that’s for sure, as thinks his 60’s garage band former singing self.
So I thought, not remembering Stevie Nicks all that much, that she sounded horribly nasal and seriously, all of the AI girls in this year’s top ten sang better than her. Of course I remember Fleetwood Mac as I’m as old as husband but I was trying to make a point.
I happened to have Nicks on DVR so I called husband over to listen to her nasally hardly impressive voice (at least in my opinion). “She sounds better than any of this year’s finalists”, was his comment....right before I was about to declare how all of the AI finalists this year sounded better than her.
Well I insulted husband all to hell evidently cause he went doing searches and sent me a link to Stevie Nicks singing a song. He also gave me a lecture about how this song, called Silver Springs, was haunting and beautiful and how he didn’t get my nasal slam at all.
