A flock of ten flamingoes have met a brutal end at a zoo in Eskilstuna in eastern Sweden after a curious anteater broke into their compound and clawed them to death, leaving a further five birds nursing injuries.

LOL! Good Morning TC!
Good morning, Pippin. I need to go to Walmart; we’re out of coffee. Then we’ll sit around waiting for the new washer to arrive, and I’ll make the cucumber soup recipe fanfan put up yesterday.
Hiya, folks!
I just read through quite a few posts here and on sionnsar’s thread, and am once again smitten by the loss.
However, today is another day, and I will miss posting to him all over again.
In the meantime, the struggles of the last five days are coming back to haunt me. *ugh* I will be glad when the son is off for the next three days.
I love the old gal, but this is hard work. Hours of boredom followed my minutes of insane demands.
The missus killed off her cell phone, so we had to replace it.
She asked me to read the user manual for the replacement phone.
I’m seeing things float before my eyes...
Wish I could see things float before my eyes...Might be worth waking up for!! LOL!
Good morning! I’ve been to Walmart already, and now we’re waiting for the washer delivery, supposed to be between 11 and 1. Then we can all take naps.
A shower is the next thing on my list. Someone is supposed to come and either fix the old stove (9 months old) or put in a new one. We can use the burners but not the oven.
That’s supposed to be from 12-4. Himself will be here around 2:30 so that will give me a reprieve of sorts. I’ll go home either today or tomorrow for at least a few hours, then come back and do it all over again.
No naps for me... :o[
This thing is more computer than phone.
And cell phone companies wonder why people write java script virus apps for them.
It’s hard to believe that today’s cell phones have more technology in them that the first manned space capsule.
I’m always about two years behind the curve.
Heck, the Commodore 64 had more computing power than what the Apollo capsules had.
My phone is itself a few years old.
But we couldn’t find a replacement for her phone or get it repaired quickly.
[Buttons coming off is a bad thing.]
I have a Sanyo “Katana” phone. It’s fairly easy to use ... must be, if I can figure it out.
My washer is here! I’m going to celebrate with a nap with Frank.
YAY!!!
No more laundramat trips!
My missus complains that she has a learning disability.
[Admittedly she does, but not as bad as she thinks.]
So she has a system down where any new tech she gets is handed to me to learn so that I can show her how to use it.
It works, I’m faily decent at simplifying the drone speak of the manuals.
However, she was forced into this phone instantly and has not had the time to hand it to me yet.
She has learned the phone alot better than she thinks she has.
I liked the laundromat. Maybe I’ll own one someday. OldTax-lady was going to have a laundromat, back in the early 80s, but something fell through. I think she was scared off by the amount she’d have had to borrow to buy the equipment. But if you bought one already in business, that would be different. I remember seeing one advertised in the “Homes and Land” flyer.
That sounds like a good idea. They are certainly money-makers, no doubt about that! Especially if they have fluff & fold service.
The genniman just came to fix the oven. (Boy was that thing filthy!) Seems some sort of valve stuck due to the time the place had been vacant. We’re good to go now!
I lived in an apartment where the oven didn’t work. We used the stovetop and a toaster oven.
I have a toaster oven. I’ve worn out four of them in the last 25 years. I only use the big oven for turkeys.
Did you make cucumber soup TC?
Hi everyone.
We need rain.
