make that four.
LOL... that’s nice, but maybe I should have been more specific. “Would someone please post the picture of Powers Boothe as Curly Bill Brocius in the movie “Tombstone” saying, “Well.... Bye!”
Thank God.
I won’t have to endure the droning of how she is so spiritual and we should all be like her anymore.
Great show and nice lady but hell, I can’t deal with the worshiping.
But then again, maybe it’s ladies version of football or baseball.

And now there are three.
Now four! I wish I had a t-shirt...
Oprah! Who?
Was she the first of the gutter shows like: Jerry Springer, Maury, Jenny Jones, Sally Kathy Rapahel and GERALDO!!!
I swear I thought she was the first to start the gutter talk show like that.
Well I'm assuming you work for a living and aren't living on welfare and food stamps!!!
I mean these are deprived people, they deserve welfare, food stamps and Oprah!!! /mega sarc...

I swear I thought she was the first to start the gutter talk show like that.
While she may have been the first 'gutter' show, the seeds were planted by Phil Donahue.
There came a time, when on a trip to Peru, about a decade and a half ago, I was watching the Hispanic near-equivalent to Donahue, the "Christina" show, and commented to Mrs infowarrior that it would not be long before the format got much seedier. She didn't quite believe me at the time, but some months later she saw that actually happen, and started looking at me as if I were some form of Biblical prophet.
I merely smiled softly, and told her, no, it was just that I had seen it happen before, two decades earlier, on US television. To tell the truth, it was no more enjoyable to me to see the degeneration done in Spanish, as it was in English...
PS:
(Whenever I'm in Peru, I perforce watch television, which I rarely do in the US... No computer when in Peru, sad to say...)

I think so too. When she came along, Phil Donahue was the only kid on the block. The then undisputed king of afternoon talk shows. Then Oprah came along, was scheduled directly opposite Phil, and the media waited and watched to see if Oprah would survive. She succeeded in getting great ratings. And the floodgates were open which resulted in a huge glut of cheap talk shows which lasted for years.
Good gravy. Just go off the air, already.
Bread and circuses.
Also, just as an observation, I can't help myself but as soon as someone tells me they watch Oprah and wouldn't miss a show, my opinion of them drops about 1000%.
It's like I can never trust or believe them again. I have a cousin I used to look up to, and once she said she watches Oprah, she became a family joke.
