Dozens of tour buses have added the tiny town of Elma, N.Y., as a stop this year. On their way to scenic sites like Niagara Falls, these tourists are squeezing in a visit to the Made in America store.
Shop owner Mark Andol climbs aboard a bus and tells the riders that shopping here is a patriotic act.
"When you walk through them doors, I guarantee when you're shopping the homework's been done it's 100 percent made-in-America products. Made in this country by American workers, and the money stays in our economy. So, enjoy yourself," he says.
Customers pour into the spacious building, which used to be a Ford dealership. American flags and patriotic quotes adorn the walls.
Gloria Giesa of Vaselboro, Maine, says she always looks for "Made in the USA" labels when shopping. But this store saves her the trouble.
"Makes me think of when I was young and everything was American. And that's the way it should be," she says.
But Giesa admits she doesn't always go with American products.
"You buy the best deal you can find. That's what it's all about. [For] some people, every penny counts. And if you can save 50 cents, that's a lot," she says.

I recall [as a kid] bringing my piggy bank to the 5 and dime [remember those?] and seeing, very infrequently stuff *Made in Japan*...which I avoided like the plague b/c my uncle died at the hands of a Japanese soldier at Luzon.
It won’t happen in my lifetime, but one day, we’ll probably embrace the Chinese [since they own us anyway].
I still have a sharp business suit from Ann Taylor with the tag, Made in USA. It’s abt 15 years old...not even that long ago.
Filson. Buy Filson. ;D
Made in America is about 10 miles from here (Colden NY)
It’s a great store with HIGH quality items, and it’s nice to know everything is made in the USA. The owner gives Vets a 5% discount, and the NY State tax is already factored into the sell price. If it says $5.00....you PAY $5.00.
Simple. Try to patronize this vendor. We need more like him.
Quality old hand tools I go to E-Bay, you can still find the real thing.
I bet all the products are not entirely sourced or made in the US.
I wish him luck..it looks as if they are going the *franchise route* Good!
I try to buy “made in America”. Now I am looking for the label that says, “made in a right to work state.”
If it has a union label I put it back. I think unions have contributed so much to the down fall of this country.
Well, Einstein...why don’t you back that up with some facts or proof?
I’ve been to the store...and I’m guessing you might not have.
It’s ALL made in the USA.
Always fun to throw mindless, unfounded generalities around though, eh?
