WASHINGTON (AP) -- Could wallabies help battle global warming blamed in part on gassy cows?
Methane produced in cow flatulence has been listed as one of the greenhouse gases contributing to climate change.

wow! I need coffee or some bourbon... I first read that title as “Do wallabies hold cure for gays, cows”
Didn’t take them long to drop “global warming” to “climate change”. They’re good little soldiers—lap dogs.
The climate changes four times a year. Only taxes and shuttering factories will stop it!
I have no issues with them working with the bacteria inside cows guts to help reduce the CO2 that they pump out.
But expect this to be swept under the rug by the radical enviro-left because it is not that they want low emission cows, they want NO emission from No cows at all.
Because the believe in this ideology:
Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun. Prof Paul Ehrlich
Cows don’t have much fun as it is and now the liberals want to take this away from them?
headlines recently have still been screaming about warming.
in spite of satellite records that show it’s been cooling since 2003.
in spite of records that show CO2 levels were much higher 80 years ago.
the largest, most costly fraud, in all of human history.
Just what we need: Constipated, jumping cows.
Phillip K. Dick's worst sci-fi title ever.
“Cows don’t have much fun as it is...”
Can you imagine the first few years of non-farting experimental cows? Cows literally exploding in fields and farms! This could get real ugly!
Liberals are truly insane, anyone who could talk about his with a straight face and be serious about it belongs in a nut house.
I thought the article was going to tell us to start eating wallabies instead of cows.
I haven’t run my air-conditioner for the last week and a half. A fan in the window, especially at night, and it has been more than sufficient—in Kentucky—in late June, no less!
I know some folks (myself incuded, sometimes) who’s flatulent emissions hold more danger for living beings than any amount of cattle farts.
[ The world must have been full of CO2 when those millions of Buffalo roamed the US plains, farting gaily along every day. What about all the animals in Africa that existed at one time and some that still do, heards of wildabeast and zebras for instance, not to mention what a few hundred elephants could do. ]
No to mention all that CO2 from the prairie fires that used to burn from Rocky Mountains to the Missouri river. Also the sustainable grazing of the herds of the millions of buffalo that would migrate leaving nothing but lifeless destruction in their wake.....
Yeah that was sustainable....
Actually, grass-fed cows (and buffalo) don’t have this problem.
If you really want to save the environment, eat grass-fed beef. That’ll piss off the vegans.
Probably not, but beatings with shovels could be the cure for the eco-nut Communist agenda.
If not, it would at least be a lot of fun.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Obama needs to send in "Seal Team-6" to retrieve that cure from the wallabies by force.
I sure do!
Cows don't MAKE carbon. They don't eat fossil fuels. They eat plant matter that uses atmospheric Carbon (CO_2) to grow. One cow, a million cows, it makes no difference because the carbon budget is a wash.
Now there idiots want to mess with cows' innards. They just want control of your food.

I would laugh if the new microbes they want to introduce into the cows would make them more productive and thus raise the amount of cows you could raise per acre. I would laugh and laugh and laugh because it would further work to erode their Malthusian fallacy about needing less people on the earth and the “unsustainable livestock” view they always whine about.
