Now now, I’m sure it’s all just some sort of conspiracy to give you heartburn.

Or, to frighten naive voters into believing that they should vote for Obama because only he can save the earth.

Yes. There’s a big difference between working in a dry 95 or a 95 that feels like 106.

What’s with you two - are you holding some old grudge against me that I can’t even remember?
Are you overcome with “feelings”?

You’re just childish. You need to take a break from posting and get out into the real world.

Nah, the heat index is too high to get any work done.

Whats your problem? My problem? It's the heat index, ma'am. It just *feels* too hot. That's all.

(Rant wasn’t directed at you Donna, just to let you know. :))
However, I can survive that. Open a door to -40 and see how long you will survive....just saying.
To: Titus Quinctius Cincinnatus
Thank you. You are absolutely correct. And on top of it, even though the “scientific” <sarc temp my be 95, the “real feel” temp of 106 can kill you. People need to know that the humidity adds to the effect of dehydration and Hyperthermia.

Windchill factor is how it feels on the bare skin, not how it affects anything else.

Windchill factor is how it feels on the bare skin, not how it affects anything else. Well, no. It effects everything else BECAUSE of how it feels on the skin, because the temperature that it feels to the skin is a property of the rate of heat transfer away from the skin to the surrounding environment. If the real temp is 0, but the wind chill is -30, then heat is leaving the human body at the rate appropriate for a difference between -30 and 98.6.
