It’s usually >100F at midnight here, this time of year. I likes it.
Yeah, we got the playground, the walkway at the park. If you don’t know that things get hot when it’s hot, you must be an idiot. So, they think we’re idiots.
You wanna know what makes me feel sad? YOU DO, ya jackwagon!
Evidently.
>> I have a full sized gas tank to boot.
Don’t tell me, let me guess... you have an energy drink in the cup holder, too.
Oh, the weather-ettes/pole dancers, LOL.
Rhetorical question - of course they don't.
Yes, in fact, they do. See my post above. Often, especially in early June, that's exactly the case here in Phoenix.
The Summer feels like Glowbull warming and the Winter feels like climate change. Get used to nature’s reality Libs!
The US Marines alter their training exercises based upon an index called the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature.
But I suppose they might be wimpy global-warming alarmists, right?
Ha! No, coffee. Steaming hot, I don't give a rip if it's 115 outside. Energy drinks are for fags.
I think humans can determine how they “feel” based on the temp, humidity, dew point and wind without the weather-ettes changing the historical record and frightening everyone.
“Feels like” is an Algore tool.
whatever... If you’re sooooo bothered by the weatherettes, turn of your frikin’ tv and quityourbitchin.
My Georgia born and bred wife can't understand how her New York born and bred husband drinks coffee on the hottest days of the year. According to her, your not supposed to eat soup or chili in the summer either.
Sheer lunacy.
I don't want the weather-chicks telling me how they feel either.
I'd rather feel them for myself. ;)
are you implying that temperature somehow violates some law of physics that I am unaware of?
heat index is what it is, an attempt to GUESS how much hotter it FEELS when humidity is high, vs when it is low.
that was my only point, and it was more or less an attempt at humor. but I guess there is one in every crowd; someone born tragically without a sense of humor.
How come in winter the 'wind chill' makes it feel colder than it really is, but in summer the lack of wind makes if feel hotter than it really is? Can't have it both ways, WeatherBabe's ... either wind has a chilling effect or it doesn't, there is no number nudging option. If anything 103 with lack of wind would still be and 'feel like' 103, if there is a wind then it should 'feel' cooler.
And besides, anything over 70 is way too hot for me anyway, so I don't even 'feel' any difference if it's 71 or 91 or 101 or 112 ... it's just way too damn hot for me, and I run to the nearest air conditioner ...... /laughs

Yes, indeed, again especially if children are involved. They can still be very active outside at 95, for at least 15-20 minutes before they will need to cool down in the shade. Over about 100-103, younger children especially should not be very active at all. Older children need to be watched to insure they don’t develop heat exhaustion.
These are the “green, yellow, and red” standards adopted by some of the States as guidelines for play in hotter temperatures.
Colder temperatures have somewhat different rules, because wind chill has a lot more impact, and clothes vary considerably by how much they can retain warmth.
But the problem is, it doesn’t feel like 106. It feels like 95, which is the true temp. There is a definite significant difference in how 106 and 95 feel. It’s misleading and makes you think it’s hotter than it really is.
There’s girls in the gang now isn’t there?
