Waterloo

Love that bass line progression in it. You can hear it well with a good set of earbuds. The song won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest and launched ABBA into the big time.

I tend to think Rogers and Hart but this was based on a class I took on American popular music in the 1970’s and haven’t got any new info since then. For example I’d take Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered over Do-re-mi and the only thing that makes My Favorite Things any good is John Coltrane having done it.

“Good Morning Judge” was off the “Deceptive Bends” album.

“I’m not in love” was off “The Original Soundtrack” album

Yes, I’m a 10CC freak.

The Tsarist era Russian National Anthem was good too.

Good music, is good music.

Never heard the album, but I remember that video... gave me a serious 80’s MTV flashback!

I'm shocked-shocked!- no one's admitted to Afternoon Delight.

Get me a couple of beers and I might even play Love Is Like Oxygen

When I was a kid, my Mom used to crank Judy Collins and Richard Harris albums was she was doing housework. Both sides now has been burned in my brain ever since... and I still like it for some strange reason reason.

Roland The Headless Thompson Gunner by Warren Zevon

Why be ashamed of that? That entire album is among one of my favorites & am not ashamed to say so.

Speaking of "The Producers", what about "Springtime for Hitler".

At one time there were some of those, now I just have no freakin’ shame. ;’)

In the past, my guilty pleasures (as they’re usually termed) were a tune here and there by bands I can’t stand.

A song which sucks but which I always crank — “Chevy Van”. That song sucks so hard, the entire Electrolux factory moved a thousand miles.

Did you know that the music and lyrics for “Amazing Grace” and “The Theme from Gilligan’s Island” can be interchanged?

I love you
You love me
Let’s tie Barney to a tree

With a big, thick rope
and beat him with a stick
and then cut off his purple...

Have you heard this version? No 1 in the UK, 1963.

LOL!!! I’ve never heard that version before, but after watching Barney and Baby Bop as much as I did for the first 5 years of my sons life, it would have made the song much more bearable. ;-)
