Wolf Creek is in southwestern Colorado on U.S. Highway 160 about 250 miles from Denver.

Operators had previously planned to open November 4, but the storm that blew Wednesday and Thursday changed all that.

Wolf Creek says it has 36" of snow and it plans to operate three lifts and offer 600 acres of skiing

...

The storm allowed Front Range ski resorts including Copper Mountain, Loveland and Arapahoe Basin to fire up their snowmaking equipment.

Got snow here at 8500 ft elevation NW of Golden. Lots of accidents yesterday with people driving too fast coming up in elevation and hitting the rain/snow transition. I can see the slopes at Eldora Mountain Resort ski area and they have snow, but probably not enough to cover all the rocks. Had to snow shovel an area on the deck for the smoker grill. Got the NASCAR race on and BBQ chicken on the grill.

Well, me and my old senior homies are still playing pick-up softball here in S.E. Michigan and today it was absolutely gorgeous, almost 80 degrees. We'll keep playing until weather conditions prevent us from doing so...............

According to Joe Bastardi, we're going to have a rough winter ahead of us..........

“Got snow here at 8500 ft elevation NW of Golden.”

We got rain, rain, rain down here in Longmont. I got up this morning and saw the snow on the peaks. Beautiful.

God bless the democrat/socialist man made global warming.

Every winter, the ski season starts earlier and ends later.

We used to have to wait for snow to ruin Halloween. Boy! I hated that as a kid when I had to wear a winter coat over my costume.

It came early this year and we sure needed it up here in the mountains!!

Stayed at the Dakota Ridge R.V. park last week as the wife and I drove around the scenic byways of N.E Colorado.
Male and female moose were sitting in downtown Estes park in the middle of the day eating realll green grass.
Route 14 was spectaculor.
Glad to be back in Florida even with the rain/
