South Korea and US Dinner at the White House
today | self

Posted on 10/13/2011 8:09:00 PM PDT by Mrs.ThurstonHowell

Oh I SAW those horrible pictures of Moochelle in that AWFUL purple gown with black high heels for the South Korean Dinner.

The lovely wife of Mr. South Korea was resplendent in South Korean native garb of shimmering pink. She seems to be personable enough at dinner but when walking alongside a GIGANTESS with PURPLE DRESS one would obviously be uncomfortable. Purple People Eater-eat'em up & spit'em out.

Looking at the photos of the color theme for the dining tables one must wonder what part of sock monkey brain did one use to arrive at such cliches ?

Awful,my dear, simply Awful.

Meh, it has a boob belt, which it doesn’t need, but it isn’t such a bad dress. At least it fits her and doesn’t look strange.

It would be funny if it weren’t so true that the Koreans were thinking “OK, we have to have dinner with you because you are the American President, but if I see you near my daughter, I’ll kill you!”

We Americans are supposed to be the world’s worst racists, but compared to what the average Korean thinks of black people, we might as well all be in a drum circle singing Kumbayah.

I don’t know how many Korean girls have been disowned by their entire families for having dated a black GI, but it’s a lot.

simply first hit on search for the event. Must not have been the pics mentioned. Saw the purple dress. More of her fashion (sarcasm) statements.

“walking alongside a GIGANTESS with PURPLE DRESS”

Sounds like Barney was at the dinner!

White House dinner icing on South Korea charm offensive

Mrs. Obama wore a striking purple, one-shouldered gown by Korean-born designer Doo-Ri Chung as she and the president welcome Lee and his wife in the rain. The South Korean first lady, Kim Yoon-ok, wore a traditional hanbok in pink and white.

My my my. The Wookie in rare form.

I’m no fan of Mrs. Obama, but of all the gowns the First Lady has ever worn, that one looks the finest.

Go take your Metamucil!

Mrs. Obama is the height God intended her to be. Calling her names because she is tall tells me a lot more about you than it does about her...and the purple dress is appropriate for the occasion. Chill out.

I don’t like the color of the belt - then again, I don’t like belts on formal-wear at all - but, other than that, I think she looks pretty nice.

She wears plenty that’s really bad. This doesn’t count.

Compared to some of her outfits in the past, this one is at least tasteful for the occasion. Better than some of those, pull the curtains down and sew something up ideas she’s had.
