The Tontitown, AR, couple, who are parents to children Joshua, 23 (who is married to Anna, 23 and has two children, Mackynzie, 2 and Michael, 4 months), twins Jana and John-David, 21; Jill, 20; Jessa, 19; Jinger, 17; Joseph, 16; Josiah, 15; Joy-Anna, 14; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 12; Jason, 11; James, 10; Justin, 8; Jackson, 7; Johanna, 6; Jennifer, 4; and Jordyn, 3, weathered the medical emergency of their youngest daughter, Josie’s birth on Dec. 10, 2009.

I’m very pleased for them, and I hope Michelle enjoys good health through delivery. My doctor said it doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 45: if you don’t have diabetes, a heart condition, cancer, or some other major health issue, there’s no reason not to expect a tolerable pregnancy.
I am thrilled too! Hey I hope she has 25 for that matter!
Wow, and congratulations to the Duggar family. More power to them. And I second the comment that there will be more conservative Christians in the world thanks to them.

I think your doctor is full of it. The older you are, the more likely you WILL DEVELOP a health condition DURING pregnancy. Pregnancy can cause diabetes and blood pressure issues.
You got that right!!!
However, it is entirely their choice. I'm not a regular watcher of their program, but I have caught a few episodes, and they seem to be good people raising some great kids.
I hope this pregnancy goes well for mom and baby.
Actually, I have heard both.
This family can raise and support twenty kids better than many can raise and support two. With the added bonus that they aren’t grubbing for a handout from you, I or Uncle Sam.

I was told this by my regular obstetrician and a maternal-fetal specialist. What are your medical qualifications?
Plus, Michelle already had health problems last time that caused her to have a very preemie baby.
She’s also at risk for having a down syndrome baby and twins. Twins would really be dangerous with her previous health issues.
I just don’t see putting yourself at risk when you already have 19 kids. I also don’t see how Jim Duggars would enourage his wife to put herself at risk.
