Vladimir Putin calls John McCain 'nuts' in outspoken attack
The Telegraph ^ | 12/15/2011 | Alex Spillius

Vladimir Putin has launched an extraordinary attack on US Senator John McCain in which he also implicated Washington in the killing of Libyan dictator Col Muammar Gaddafi.

The Russian prime minister called the former presidential candidate “nuts” in response to Twitter comment about Russia’s parliamentary elections that drew allegations of fraud and triggered large protests.

Mr McCain’s tweet read: "Dear Vlad, The Arab Spring is coming to a neighbourhood near you."

Mr Putin turned stony faced when asked about the tweet on his annual televised phone-in.

"Mr McCain fought in Vietnam. I think that he has enough blood of peaceful citizens on his hands. It must be impossible for him to live without these disgusting scenes anymore.

"Mr McCain was captured and they kept him not just in prison, but in a pit for several years," he said. "Anyone [in his place] would go nuts."

it was the Russians who did this. They were behind the whole thing.

True dat...
Talk about killing innocent people the VC were pure evil.
Soviet recruited trained and financed. That Old Stalinist putin never misses chance to revise their wicked and black history.

Never-the-less, I pray that Putin comes to a saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

18. Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope:

19. That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

20. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21.Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22. Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:

23.Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

24.Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

Well then, color me stupid too. I agree with McCain. It is time the Arab Spring found Vlad. He stole the election in a naked power grab. Russians see that. I guess FReepers don't.

I long ago concluded dealing with this guy as "pooty-poot" or with the "reset button" was a really bad idea. Time to be blunt. Tear down the wall - again.

McInsane's...service to our country is to help elect Barack Hussein Obama by his appeasing campaign. We may not have a country in a few years thanks to John McCain's...service to our country.

I am sick and tired of the McCainiacs asking us to genuflect to this creep. He is a bitter and evil man and appeases the Democrats out of his reflex of appeasing the Communists when he was ensconsed somewhere in then North Vietnam.

p.s. We also have McCain to thank for looney George Soros controlling McCain's beloved Democrat party. George Soros was able to buy the Democratic party for bargain basement prices thanks to McCain/Feingold. And former Nazi collaborator George Soros is using the Democratic party to collapse America. A collapse from which he is making a tidy sum.

Your rant makes even less sense than McCain on a bad day.

If you would rather be governed by a Putin than a McCain, I really wonder what you are doing here. But that's not an America where I would want to live.

I'm disgusted with the number of FReepers who side with Vladimir Putin

Agree with you. Putin is trying for a new style of Soviet dictatorship. Many Freepers are whacked. I'll take the Vietnam vet, thanks.

You think it’s “arrogant” to tell a dictator that he’s likely to be toppled? Uh....right.

McCain sucks. With that said, I am a bit shocked that anyone here would side with a foreign autocratic, murderous thug over an American veteran.

Lieutenant Commander McCain died in Vietnam.

Nah, he was incompetent long before that. 8th from the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy. Arrogant and cocky. Crashed a bunch of airplanes. He'd be waiting tables if it weren't for who his daddy and grandaddy were.

The delusion on that is strong on the Left, I see examples of it at least weekly. Which explains why McCain seems to harbor that particular delusion among others.

Some may remember that back during the Iran-Iraq war, a US analyst remarked dryly, “Too bad they can’t both lose.” Yes. Same thing here, in a manner of speaking.

Vlad impersonates Jane Fonda, Freepers applaud.

Surely, it's a sign of the apocalypse.

I have rarely agreed with Putin on anything, but in this case... :-)

As a Cold War vet, my proudest moment was watching the Berlin Wall come down and witness the spread of freedom to Eastern Europe. All I see with Putin is a guy who wants to bring back the Soviet Union or maybe go back even further and have himself crowned Czar. I feel sad for the Russian people and agree his neighbors need to stay vigilant.

Don’t get your panties in a wad, Tank, I don’t think anybody here is siding with the commie thug Putin, I know I’m not, I understand exactly who Putin is, probably better than you. I posted this primarily for what I consider the humorous content of Vlad’s calling McManiac “nuts”—I think there is a great deal of humor in it, as one poster said, it’s like the kettle calling the pot black. I could do without both of them, particularly McManiac in the Senate. And, how long does McCain get a free ride for his service record, he’s done as much damage to this country from DC as he did good for it by his service in the USN.

"So what if McCain is a RINO and disliked on this forum??? He is an American from a distinguished family who has spent his life in service to his country."

Whatever McCain did prior to about 1980 notwithstanding, nearly everything he's done since has been reprehensible - up to and including sponsorship of a bill that just placed the US under permanent martial law.

I really don't see a dime's worth of difference between the two men. I suppose the irony of their public flame war is probably lost on the both of them.

McCain did appear senile in 2008, such a talking to himself, forgetting where he was, needing Lieberman to provide him with answers, other weird stuff. Obama won the moment McCain received the nomination. He appeared to throw the election, and there were references to the “Manchurian Candidate.” It is hard to forget how terribly he treated the families of MIAs, embraced his former captors, and betrayed his sick first wife.

The Soviet KGB scum vermin Putin says that he has innocent blood on his hands because he fought in Viet Nam. The stupid evil animal Putin has made these kind of extreme anti-American statements before. Putin said that Stalin's purges were not as bad as what the USA did in VietNam which he compared to the Nazi Holocaust.

Putin is a genocidal savage madman who must die a violent death. McCain is 100% right about Putin and his Neo-Soviet Russia.

I'm sure there are plenty of pro-Putin FINOs and RINOs around here who will saddle on this condemnation.
