The Best Gun Accidents of 2011
9 minute video

I have seen this, some people are freaking idiots and should not reproduce...
Be afraid. Be very afraid!
Some of the people scare me! LOL!
Something that bothered me was the amount of people who laughed right after the accident — a gun flips out of somebodies hands and people start cackling, never that that it could blow somebodies head off when it hits the ground. People like this give the liberals ammunition (pun intended!)
Great case for single shot weapons, eh?
I couldn’t believe the one with the little kid blasting that guy in his right side...ouch
Most excellent post!
Big chuckles.
Thx
A lot of people are morons, and it particularly irritates me that so many men hand a higher recoil firearm to the ladies without building their arm/wrist/upper body strength, and teaching them a proper stance. It is irresponsible and ungentlemanly.
He's VERY lucky. A slightly different angle and that round would have crippled him at the knee. Wow.
What the heck is the rifle being fired in the long string of similar clips at the end (seem to be a lot of Indian fellas although not exclusively)? Must have a hell of a kick.
My guess is .700 Nitro Express Safari. Just a WAG.
It has been a loooooong time since it mattered to me, but is that M2HB at 1:08 a timing or head-space issue?
Modern firearms have to pass a drop test before they can be sold, going off after hitting the ground is almost an impossibility with modern guns. However, I can see your point, laughing about something like this is idiotic.
That seems like a reasonable WAG. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.700_Nitro_Express
That's some recoil energy, sheesh!
The A-Square “Hannibal” rifle is built for this heavy cartridge. The rifle weighs 13 pounds and has a 22 to 26 inch barrel. The T-Rex shoots a 750-grain bullet at 2,400 fps that delivers 9,600 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. The rifle costs $4,100 and each round costs $15 each.
A-Square .585 diameter bullets come in either solid for penetration (Monolithic), a solid-soft point point for penetration plus expansion (Dead Tough), and a soft point (Lion Load) for expansion. The Monolithic solids are used for elephant, rhino, and cape buffalo; Dead Tough for lions, tigers, or bears; the Lion Load for maximum expansion (at 12 to 14 inches) on lions, tigers, or bears.
Reloading is recommended. Monolithic bullets run $112 per box of 25; Dead Tough and Lion Load bullets at $131 per 25, unprimed .577 T-Rex cases are $113 per 10 rd. box; loaded rounds are $177 for 10 rds. of Monolithic and $183.50 per 10 rds. of either Dead Tough or Lion Load.
