There was a PBS show several decades ago about our culture creating the gender persona in boys and girls. In this study of several families, they tried having the boys play with girl’s toys and the girls play with boys toys, and things like that.
There was a follow-up show more than a decade later where they interviewed the parents involved in the study. They said that the boys insisted on being “boy-like” no matter what toys you gave them, and the girls were equally hard wired.
And this was a liberal group on PBS!
TIME already released the shocking (to them) article - big cover article - that boys and girls are different! No really, they really are different!
No kidding. We said that all along and the libs said nope it’s all conditioning and learned and this evil paternalistic/maternalistic role modeling, bla bla bla.
They are now healthy productive God-fearing loving fathers and husbands.
At age 10, I remember asking my dad to help me put my bike back together. He told me...."You took it apart...you put it together". And so I had my first lesson in practical mechanics.Psst...I have three wonderful children thanks to the right parts and the right partner with the right parts.

Yep. Give a boy a Barbie doll and he’ll likely do one of two things ... a) turn it sideways and use it as a gun or b) figure out how many ways he can destroy it.
Stossel did a show on this years ago that opened with a bunch of upper eastside parents who tried to raise their sons to be non-violent, gender neutral, whatever. One gave her son barbie dolls. They used them as swords to duel. One father noted that when the boys weren’t given toy guns, they made them out of bread. One Mom, whose previous offspring were daughters, looked like she’d been hit by a truck, recounting how she learned “boys will be boys”.
