Hardly. Newt is trying to get out in front of a talking point, which would be Republicans want to drive any and all illegals into the sea. I think he’s been rather smart about it. He’s using older illegals, and being somewhere 25 yrs is quite a long time, as a balance against his policy of go home and reapply. Smart politics if you ask me. He’s kneecapping the media, not giving them an opening.
Newt isn’t screwing up, he just seems tired tonight and isn’t coming out on top. Santorum is best tonight and I think that is killing Newt at the moment.
I told the family 5 years ago that we need more Martian voters before we’ll be able to justify the financing of such an endeavor.
I hate to say this, but Obama will CREAM Newt in the election. The female vote is what will be crucial, Gingrich will be lucky to get 40% of that. He is very old looking, saggy faced, has been, crazy, old fart. Every woman not a strong conservative is looking for uncle sugar daddy, and he ain’t it. JMO.. This race needs a “leg tingling” moment from the GOP. Not the nausea inducing we are getting.

A couple of years ago, a 96 year old Mexican became a U.S. citizen, having lived here since she was in her 20s. They couldn’t interview her because she speaks only Spanish. That’s the kind of “grandpas and grandmas” we have in barrios in every border state.
The lunar colony thing did not help Newt. Newt created a media target rich environment for it over the next 24 hour news cycle and time is precious right now.

I am a Newt supporter. So far he hasn’t been too fiery. That being said, I refuse to support Romney. If its not Romney, I’m ready to support a Ron Paul third party candidacy.
Romney is a gun grabbing socialist with no integrity. If we have to have a gun grabbing socialist in the Whitehouse, I’d rather it be a Democrat.
Will the people who attacked Cain mercilessly for allowing Newt to “go first” on a question be similarly offended by Newt casting about for a lifeline?
Mitt reveals that it is he who drags the debate into the gutter, then spouts platitudes the next minute. I think he had a bad night.
