Gingrich Hits Romney For Kosher Veto

Posted by CNN Political Producer Shawna Shepherd Jacksonville, Florida (CNN) – In a nod to one of Florida's key voting blocs, Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich attacked Mitt Romney Monday for vetoing funding for kosher food in nursing homes when he was governor of Massachusetts.

"Governor Romney imposed activities on the Catholic hospitals against their opposition religious institution, refused them to allow right of conscience in Romneycare," Gingrich said. "Just as, by the way, he eliminated serving kosher food for elderly Jewish residents under Medicare. I did not know this, it just came out yesterday."

Just Newt playing a trick on the unwary. People hear what they want to hear. That 25 year thing leads back to the Reagan era amnesty ~ these are the hypothetical village idiots who somehow missed getting on board the gravy train.

They probably don't exist.

Now, if we find them, the humane thing to do would be to allow their families to depart with them as they go back home.

Newt has already convinced the professional Hispanics that he's concerned with "inhumane" sorts of things. I am too, as I pointed out above. We certainly would not like to hold illegals' families in the US hostage!

What about the story that in 09 Newt supported an individual mandate? If true he is a lying skunk.

Seeing as you are for Romney then tell me this seeing as Romney coudl not answer the question

what has Romney ever done for the conservative cause?

Please read my post. If not a huge fan of Romney means I am for Romney, then it’s probably due to may lack of knowledge of English, since it’s not my native language. Or maybe you are not paying attention.

or maybe you have no answered my questions.

What issues separate Romney and obama?

I’ll answer it

NONE

Romney will say and do anything to get elected, he proved that back in the last election, he ran as a Dem to the left of Kennedy for crying out loud and at least with obama we know where we stand , with Romney he is a snake in the grass who has put down the base and he can piss off

This Catholic has no problem with Romney's Mormonism (other than his personal track record for being quite unMormon in his lifelong support for abortion on demand and for homosexual everything both of which are a problem with the Mittwit and NOT with his faith). Ditto Harry Reid and both Senators Udall.

I have and had a BIG problem with every pro-abort and pro-perversion liar who claims Catholicism such as Kathleen Gilligan Sebelius, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Rosa DeLauro, Joe Biden, Little Dick Durbin, Tom Harkin, Arnold Schwarzenkennedy, Gray Davis, Dannell Malloy, Pat Quinnochio, Christopher Dodd, Patty Murray, Lisa Moocowski, Debbie Stabbincow, Dennis Cuckoocinich, John (did you know he served in Vietnam?) Kerry, Susan Collins, Anthony (Day O'Connor) Kennedy, and so many many other lying hypocrite anti-Catholics in "Catholic" clothing.

I also have no use for other people claiming Christianity while cheerleading and/or protecting abortion (the wanton slaughter of God's babies) and perversion (see genesis on Sodom and Gomorrah): Obozo, Moochelle Obozo, Mark Kirk, Al Gore, John Paul Stevens, William O. Douglas, Sandra Day O'Connor, David Swish Souter, Herod Blackmun, Lewis Powell, Martin Marty, Ron Paul, DoGood Marshall, etc.

Let's not forget the worst of unfaithful Jews in public life who also gush with enthusiasm for baby-killing and sexual perversion: Richard Blumenthal (my personal fave pet peeve among Jews), Al Franken, Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Ruth Buzzi Ginzberg, Elena Kagan, Frank Lautenberg, Schmuckie Chewmer, Barney Frank, etc.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Mitt Romney, a member in good standing of the foregoing rogues' gallery of evil excuses for public officials would have the temerity to deny to elderly observant Jews in nursing homes Kosher food (ignore your religious requirements or starve , see if Mittwit cares) and freedom of religion to Catholics and others whose faiths require them to refrain from abortion altogether (including "morning-after" pills, "emergency contraception" and the plain old abortifacient "birth control" pill which prevents implantation of the infant already conceived). After all, why pay heed to the First Amendment freedom of religion when there are secular humanist homicidal votes to whore after, much less plain jane anti-Semitic votes, to save a few pennies per meal?

While the foregoing rogues' gallery of anti-religious misfits and miscreants is, each and every one, a rank disgrace to the US and to Judaeo-Christian civilization, Romney is special because he is actually in a position to buy, bribe, and bully his way to the GOP nomination by the expenditure of massive amounts of money (the genuine god of the secular humanist legion).

We need a major political party opposed to: baby-killing, perversion posing as "marriage," homosexual anything else, gun grabbing, tax hiking on ordinary folks, anti-military peacecreepism, disarmament, globalist anything, cuddling up politically to the Demonrat enemies and spineless RINOs, the regulatory state, envirowhackoism, trade policies that destroy the middle class to benefit the filthy rich and which is not on autosmooch for the backsides of elitists. Therefore, we need to stop Romney once and for all and to make him the poster boy for political annihilation until we can deal with Obozo in November to make that a twosome.

I personally would prefer Rick Santorum but he is getting nowhere and is now merely blocking Gingrich and helping Romney to win delegates by pluralities. Rick Perry, and Herman Cain have withdrawn and endorsed Gingrich enthusiastically. Santorum should do the same. So should Michelle Bachmann. Let the conservative movement unite against Romney, nominate and elect Gingrich. Ignore the siren calls about how Gingrich trails Obozo by 10 points or so. At this point in 1980, Ronaldus Maximus trailed Jimmuh Cahtuh by 25% and he would up taking 40 states in the fall of 1980. I know that Newt is not Reagan but he is the closest we have come to Reagan since Reagan.

As JimRob says: The rebellion is on!

Rush points out that many conservatives suckered initially into supporting the individual mandate - until they saw the monstrosity of ObamaCare. And reflected properly on the Constitution, and realized that the idea was actually an unprecedented power grab by the central (formerly federal) government.

Very disappointing ad from the Gingrich campaign, straightforward Jew baiting hoping for an anti Romney reaction before the facts are known. Axelrod will be able to use this against either nominee. Commentary has a decent recitation of the facts, but the issue revolved around one or three (depending on who is telling the story) nursing homes who planned to close uneconomic Kosher kitchens and provide catered or packaged (not tasty) Kosher meals to their observant patients. In their wisdom, the liberal legislature allocated $800m for Kosher kitchens, Romney vetoed the bill, as he should have.

I know some will disagree, but consider that by supporting Kosher kitchens, and of course halal, and other "religious" kitchens, you're not exactly coming down on the side of fiscal responsibility.

No one in these homes, Holocaust survivers or otherwise, were or would have been denied Kosher meals. The ad was a lie. They might not have been as tasty, might have had to relocate to a home with tastier Kosher meals. That's capitalism.

I know Newt disclaims knowledge of the ad, shame on the campaign people who put it out in his name.

But Mormon Bishop Romney will baptize them into the Mormon Church after they die, so no harm done. /s

Not one of Romney´s immediate and extended family and ancestors has ever served in the military across their entire history.

Who in America doesn´t have at least some history with the military?

I mean, really!
