“But to trash him for loving his child, not being ashamed of his child,”

Are you logged in? Can you not understand plain English? Please point out anywhere I said he was ‘ashamed’ of her. Which again, is so far way from the original point that you have lost track of common sense.

What I WILL say is that in his eagerness to PROVE that he loves his daughter and is NOT ashamed of her, he showed an amazing lack of good judgement by showing her off to crowds and putting her in danger to benefit himself. Who is the vile one here?
What stops you from realizing how selfish and self-centered this act was?

"You are a traitor in spades!!!"

And just what is it I am a traitor to?

You're blind, sycophantic loyalty to a crummy politician that couldn't win his own state...AND can only be in the race to defeat the only other conservative in the silly, naive hope that Romney will bless him with something special?

Eff you silly sh!t. When you wear MY ribbons you can use the word "traitor".

Until then take your girlie ass back home.

Where the rest of the opposition reside.

I wouldn’t expose my family, my children, to anything the media and the spectators have thrown at any of the candidates.

I’m not comparing apples and oranges. Santorum has a “special needs” child just as Palin has. He has other children as well just as Palin has. Palin was a working mother, in political office, and we’ve all seen the slams against her for putting her career ahead of her family.

So you agree that Palin used her child also? You agree that any politician with children uses their children for political gain?

Now answer my questions. Was it the same with Palin? Her Downs child has medical issues so was she exposing him to mortal danger by being governor, campaigning as possible VP? Traisping across the country in her bus? What mortal danger is Bella exposed to by her father running for office?

You can’t have it both ways. Some politicians, those who seek political office, have children.

I just think it would be better to keep the discussion, if one is interested in actually swaying others, on factual information/records.

I look at fiscal, national security and then social issues. My favorite is out (Perry) and he had all three plus he had the personal life that was attractive. I like Santorum far more than I like Newt but Santorum doesn’t have a real shot, imo.

These three, Newt, Romney, Santorum are weak and no different than McCain, Romney, Huck back in 2008. I’ll probably vote for whomever is the GOP candidate in the general because I won’t vote for Obama.

But to trash Santorum because he doesn’t hide his child is low, imo.

naps, Trig was not at nearly the kind of risk Bella is. And you are talking to someone who walked over broken glass for Rick Santorum. I don’t KNOW this Rick. I don’t know him anymore at all.

Never look in the mirror then. You just can’t handle the backlash from everyone here. You can’t argue facts, so maybe you should quit. Bye bye.

That is true. I am neutral on Santorum. I would like him to drop out ONLY if we are guaranteed that Newt is not going to do some crazy nonsense like he did last debate. He was horrible and if he is going to be like that than we need a back up. He said he could not concentrate because of all the lies that were coming out of Romney’s mouth......uh well Obama is going to be 100 percent worse. Newt needs to be more focused and get the job done. Stop going on tangents and coordinate the states NOW. For example, Newt just started to coordinate Nevada on Sunday! Yes yesterday. Everyone else has everything in place especially Romney and Santorum. If Newt would prove that he is in this to win and stop making excuses than I would love for Santorum to drop out.

I knew that would get your hair up. I lived in a commie leaning state and moved and that’s what you should do to!

Romney shouldn’t even be on the GOP ticket. He is as commie as Obozo and I would never support him.

This is the primary it is 33 weeks long and I see no reason to concede to a progressive like Gingrich (his words not mine) at this point.

Ribbons...is that how you judge a man? You don’t even want to go down that road with me.

You can knock off your silly little slams anytime now if you want to actually have a rational discussion.

“Lost track of common sense.” Oh yeah, that’s a reasonable argument. lmao

“What I WILL say is that in his eagerness to PROVE that he loves his daughter and is NOT ashamed of her, he showed an amazing lack of good judgement by showing her off to crowds and putting her in danger to benefit himself. Who is the vile one here?”

I’d say it’s you.

Tell me again how he put her in mortal danger? You PROVE that he used her, as you claimed, and put her in mortal danger, as you claimed, to gain votes. Go ahead, prove it.

It’s no wonder with people like you arguing for our side that we lose arguments.

I can handle backlash when it makes sense. YOU are inferring something I never implied. It changes the entire context and allows you to attack me on false grounds. That is the dishonest refuge of a scoundrel which I will not respond to.

The only thing Rick has done since losing his Sinate seat was help elect Arlon Spector.

Actually, that was before he lost his Senate seat.

"Ribbons...is that how you judge a man? You don’t even want to go down that road with me."

It's better than most measures.

Why, you have no service?

Were you denied the opportunity to enlist...or did you have better things to do?

Too bad he doesn’t acknowledge the fact if he was leading he would be getting the $20 million enema. Some make him out to be a saint when others see him as helping Romney.

Pray for America

I agree. People are letting their emotions run away with them here.

I think the Santorums are wonderful parents. This child will surely die early but with the care she’s received she’s lived 3 years longer than was deemed possible.

I’m not for Santorum and I wish he would decide to throw his support to Newt but it’s his decision and he has some strong supporters.

I would never question another man’s loyalty or service. Why even go there?

But to suggest that someone supporting Rick Santorum is somehow a traitor to the conservative movement is completely without reason.

My initial response was as absurd your response.

I don’t believe you are a traitor because you live in CA just like I don’t believe anyone supporting Santorum is a traitor to the conservative movement.

What’s the matter with you?

I’m for Newt but you don’t have to go around insulting everybody.

And especially don’t insult Texas or Texans.

Announcing you can't debate a liar... when the opponent in the general is Obama... and the main rationale for your candidacy is a claim to being the best debater... may not be the worst strategic decision of this campaign, but it sure isn't the best one.

It's time for a candidate who's proven he can out debate "liar" Romney. Who'll turn Obama into Zero in their debates.

Actually, Rick recognized that they needed Specter, who was the head of the judiciary committee to be there because he was the one with the balls to go against the democrats and get the good judges through. Yes, he was not supported later, when his re-election came around, but I think he still feels it was a sacrifice that needed to be made. We got Alito, Thomas and Roberts. I do not feel that Rick felt that Specter was the better choice in conservative ways, but specter had taken on the dems and gotten results. Looking back, can you imagine what we’d have if not the 3 of them? More of Justice Souter, Kennedy, Day O’Connor types, just to get them through, but rarely supporting the Constitution. I’m no fan of Specter, but he did deliver on possible the 3 most important decisions conservatives needed. Give Rick a break on this, as it really showed wisdom.
