To give credit/blame where due it's worth mentioning that Wrong Paul also spend a lot on negative ads against Newt in Iowa. And Rick Perry was the biggest spender in the state, or at least it sure seemed like it in my part of the state.

But the lowest spender won. And not by 6 votes as some have posted, but probably by 69 votes. IA GOP certified all by 8 precincts, giving Rick a 34 vote lead for those 1766 precincts. 5 of the 'missing' 8 had their caucus night total confirmed by their county chairs, just not by the correct paper work, pushing Rick's lead to, IIRC 62. I haven't heard commentary on the other 3, quite small, precincts, but their caucus night totals would have pushed Rick's lead to 69. Iowa ended proportionately a MUCH bigger margin than the state voting Tuesday produced in Bush v. Gore. Now admittedly that would have been a 20k victory for Bush, according to all the models, had the networks not called Florida for Gore while the panhandle was still voting, thus suppressing W's vote.

Good day for Santorum endorsements:
Michelle Malkin

If Rick leaves, as far as I’m concerned, Newt and Milt will both drift leftward, and many issues will fall off the radar screen. That’s what happened when Fred Thompson bowed out so damn early. I am proud of Rick Santorum. Bob

Unless you’re from PA, you likely know very little about Santorum.

I am from Pennsylvania, former Murtha's district. I have not heard great things about Santorum while visiting, but he is standing on solid ground.

Gingrich seems inconsistent to me. I did like what he was saying back in '94 to "take back our country." They attempted to skewer him, but failed. He is a strange man, IMO, because he has taken so many unsupportable policy positions like man made global warming, and Obama care.
