Sean Hannity is an a$$
Vanity | Me - nesnah

Posted on 01/31/2012 1:46:56 PM PST by nesnah

OK, so I am sitting here listening to Sean Hannity and he is speaking with Marco Rubio. The conversation is moving along - no real hard issues discussed other than the Romney platitudes. Then Seah launches into this "have you been hearing about these nutty birthers" crappola. Rubio responds, or non-responds, only to say he is eligible to be a US Senator and just demures the rest.

Hannity sounded like a complete Democrook tool in his demeanor. Birther are nuts, etc. Yo, ummm, Sean, it isn't about birth certificates; it's about eligibility. Hey, Sean, do you know what a natural-born citizen is? Have you bothered to educate yourself?

You know, Sean, you are doing as much to subvert the US Constitution than your brother Barack Obama. I am turning you off for good.

"The concept of "natural born citizen" did not require the parents to have been citizens. It stipulated that the parents (actually just the father) not owe allegiance to any foreign nation. Resident aliens on the path to citizenship, having renounced such allegiances, would have fit the definition."

Nonsense.

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof”.

Citizenship “as a natural right, belongs to none but those who have been born of citizens since the 4th of July, 1776..." David Ramsay, 1789

"Permit me to hint, whether it would be wise and seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expressly that the Commander in Chief of the American army shall not be given to nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen. " John Jay in a letter to George Washington, 1787

Now this I can accept as plausible. George Washington indicated the same sort of attitude in his letters. Various acts passed during this time period (the Virginia Declaration, the Naturalization act of 1790) indicate that this was an acceptable practice of the time.

I have seen it reported that Rubio's Mother had already become a citizen, and his father was in the process of becoming one. If this is actually true, that is close enough to the spirit of the law for me to accept it.

I don't know if Rubio's father was a resident alien when Marco was born, but he was an exile from Castro and certainly owed him no allegiance. So, though it's clear that Obama doesn't qualify, I don't think it's settled at all that Rubio doesn't. Just my opinion.

I think it is a perfectly reasonable thing to consider. The child grew up knowing no other allegiance.

I can't listen to Hannity much....but I will give him this.

When Obama was running for POTUS....Sean, tried like heck to warn people about Obama's past.

Seemed the only one, on T.V. doing it.

Thank you !

Thank him? Thank him for what? Espousing more lies and crap? If THAT is your standard, you should thank people who punch you in the nose. On the other hand, they might actually knock some sense into you, so you actually might have a more legitimate reason for thanking them than you would for thanking cynwoody.

Anyone who argues that Obama is legitimate is not doing anyone any favors.

If this is actually true, that is close enough to the spirit of the law for me to accept it.

I'm no authority on the law and a lot of people disagree with me, but I have tried to discern the original intent and this makes the most sense to me.

The Supreme Court of the United States has never applied the term “natural born citizen” to any other category than “those born in the country of parents who are citizens thereof”.

First, I do not wish to get into a shouting match about this, but I also do not think the subject is as cut-and-dried as you suggest. For example:

United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898)

In Minor v. Happersett, Chief Justice Waite, when construing, in behalf of the court, the very provision of the Fourteenth Amendment now in question, said: "The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that." And he proceeded to resort to the common law as an aid in the construction of this provision. 21 Wall.88 U.S. 167.

I'm not going to include the entire piece -- it goes on forever -- but the common law has been cited over and over in the centuries long debate over the meaning of "Natural Born" and my post brought that up. I don't believe the issue is settled at all. You obviously disagree.

Mr. Hannity,

Do you want our military to be commanded by a president who had or still has dual citizenship? If so, how would you feel if he was both an American and an Iranian?

No thank you, Mr. Hannity.

He's a wishy washy chump who was in the right place at the right time and rode Rush's coattails into a multi million dollar payday at Fox and on the radio.

He is an establishment shill who basically runs a radio commercial for really bad products with small breaks to spout "conservative" platitudes.

He has used his TV program the give the cultist MYTH ROMNEY a forum, and has said he would support this fake, this phoney, this con man for POTUS if he succeeded in buying the nomination.

Best take your millions and go Hannity, and make way someone who has the nerve to kick the country clubbers at the RNC in the balls.

Ah, yes, the old tried and not true.

I ask of you as well...why would somebody claiming to be a natural born citizen cite a case based upon the 14th amendment making them a citizen by statute, not by nature?

He wasn't very effective though, was he.

He wasn't exactly a modern day Joe McCarthy.

He sucks.

It "goes on forever"?

You couldn't just include the rest of the paragraph?

Minor v. Happersett , 88 U.S. 162 (1875)

"The Constitution does not in words say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents."

There, I fixed it for you.

Ok!.....So?....Where's the certifiable court acceptable birth certificate?

Obama had his chance on Thursday and he and his lawyers were no-shows.

Reason: There is is NO Hawaiian birth certificate.
