Whitney Houston was brought up in the church, gospel singer and most likely ‘accepted’ Christ as Savior during that time.

You know...Christ came to this earth for us and once we accept Him we are His for eternity. We may turn our back on Him but He never turns His on us.

What a tragedy.

She had such talent until she went over the edge.

Thanks for the post of Whitney singing the National Anthem. I watched her live and again tonight and I still marvel at her talent.

Let’s make this video the way we remember her.

I agree.

Yes, the song is beautiful.

But that was all in the past. Whitney Houston WAS talented. But she threw it all away.
Her present life was a disaster typical of an addict who doesn’t seek help.
Her voice was gone, she was a shell of her former self.
And I imagine her relationships all sucked too.

May she rest in peace.

Thanks for listing those songs. She had an absolutely amazing voice. Her songs bring back a lot of bittersweet memories.

Far be it for me to say who makes it to heaven...but Jesus did say “forgive us as we forgive” which does put a stipulation on receiving salvation. If we are all doped up and unforgiving, how is it that God can allow us passage? I am not saying it is impossible, but I think unlikely. And Jesus did indeed come for sinners...not to keep sinning and then get a free pass to the Kingdom though! fhu.com has a real pathway to the Kingdom in the free Be Still exercise! Enjoy!

That was a great rendition of the National Anthem, because, even though she did a bit of warbling, the basic tune was always still there.

Truly a voice that was a gift from God. I pray that she makes it to heaven to sing with the angels. She is the only person who ever sang “I Will Always Love You” better than Dolly Parton, who wrote the song.
