Newt is finished if he loses Georgia. It’s a Santorum/Romney race.

I hope either Santorum or Gingirch are left standing alone to confront Mittens. If Santorum blows away Mittens in Michigan and blows away Gingrich in Georgia, he is the conservative alternative to Romney. Unless ONE of them - Gingrich or Santorum prevails, it will go to a brokered convention where the establishment RINOs will select Jeb Bush, Mitch Daniels or Chris Christie.

I don’t put much credence in this small, local straw poll. (Another Georgia straw poll within the last few days had Ron Paul winning.)

There hasn’t been a poll out of Georgia in the last few days. The next Georgia poll will be a much better indicator than this straw poll.

The latest polls indicate that Newt is leading in Georgia, but that Rick is gaining. Will Rick catch him?

If either Newt or Rick wins Georgia, it will help to stymie Romney’s efforts to win the nomination. On Super Tuesday, Romney will probably win Massachusetts, Vermont, and Virginia. If he is limited to those three, that will be a blow to his campaign. (Ohio, North Dakota, and Tennessee will be big.)

In some of the polls from Georgia, is has Rick Santorum only 26 to Newt's 35... so Santorum is closing in on Newt even in Georgia in some polls..
No wonder Newt's supporters are in panic mode.

Fresh from a Rickbot supporter.

Depress the vote-move voters to little Ricky since all he has is the non Romney vote and the extreme wing of the party who want to be in our lives with a fatherly reach of big Saint Rick..

So little union loving Ricky can get BEAT in the general. NO Thanks!

AKRON — Speaking to his largest crowd yet in his two-day swing through Ohio, presidential candidate Rick Santorum captured 74 percent of the vote at the annual Lincoln Day dinner of the Summit County Republican Party — and that was before people heard what he had to say.

“This was in Coweta County. Apparentally this is a suburb of Atlanta”

That’s only because the Paul supporters were all at the GOP function in Gwinnett County Sat where Paul won by a landslide and Newt came in second.
