I use Bing and am happy with it. Relying on a search engine to be neutral is a pipe dream. It’s based on money not ideology.

I use ixquick. It’s usually good enough for me.

It’s getting more difficult to sort through their loaded crap to get what you are looking for on google lately. I’ve gone to bookmarking their advance search (which is now hard to find on their search page)to dig down “my” search words.

StartPage and DuckDuckGo do not record IP addresses.

What, you don’t like them data mining your emails, searches and other to present you with targeted ads...

Try searching on your FR handle... It will show up along with any other sites you have used that handle on.

I don’t think their evil, but I don’t trust them either.

I’d be curious if Google, once allowed to “know” a conservative, will keep throwing liberal results in their face (or even get worse about it), or whether it will start accommodating that conservative’s preferences, bringing up FR and Rush Limbaugh and the like first.

Someone reported that Google tries to get so clever that even if you come in cookieless and don’t log in to any Google service, it looks at your IP address. This of course jumbles things around if you use temporary IP addresses from an ISP. Also 192.168.whatever.whatever is common as a local IP address and might also have an interesting Google “dossier.”

Use TOR.

Then use whatever search engine you'd like. Just be careful of the search terms so you don't compromise yourself.

http://www.ixquick.com to search, http://www.abine.com/ to block.

Still have internet problems but I blame them on the muslim brotherhood’s top secret access to homeland insecurity.

I ditched my Android and went back to Blackberry. I ditched Chrome for Opera. I use Bing for maps and Ixquick for searches.

The only Google I use for anything at all is Youtube.
