If that @$$wipe Romney wins, it’s probably because Newt and Rick both ran, thus splitting the conservative vote. What should have been done, is that all the conservatives got together, and picked the best one of their number to run alone.

Is a third party vote worth it? It won't help get Obama out of office. I am starting to lose hope.

I say go for it and vote 3rd party, if you want continued high gas prices hence higher food prices, more Americans on food stamps, more Americans receiving welfare benefits, Obama to make at least 1 pick for the Supreme Court, the continued clawing at Religious Freedoms. Yep, I say go for it.

For sure, but if he wins, he’ll manage the decay using cutting edge technology. The government will still dictate your health benefits, but you’ll be able find out immediately that your bypass isn’t covered using the Internet vs. having to phone the IRS and go through those endless menus. I’m not sitting out any election. Every time I vote, I will cast the vote for the most Conservative candidate on the ballot. Conservatives need a long-range plan; this emphasis on immediacy is destroying us, IMHO.

seem like it. Here’s why:

Paul: lots of enthusiasm; has run before; libertarian, good economic policies; would loose in the general, but with all the youth Ronbots, would be close. Win to Obama

Santorum: excitement on the evangalical & social conservative front. Voting record is very big government with things like higher min wage & debt ceiling increases. Will turn off the moderates because of his “preaching”; win to Obama.

Mitts: NE liberal Repub along the lines of Snowe. Not much enthusiasm as evidenced by lower voter turnout in counties he has won. Has to answer to Romneycare with comparisons to Obamacare; but he will gain some moderates. Close, but Win to Obama.

Newt: Lots of excitement when he gets media attention. Higher turnout in counties where he won. Keeps hammering at BO’s policies. But with his divorces, turns off social conservatives. In general, will get hammered in regards to prior scandals, wives, etc. Would be great debates, but win to Obama.

I don’t want to be this negative nor do I want BO win, but this is the reality as I see it.

I going to pretend nothing is wrong until it is clear the cause is hopeless.

However, I agree with your assessment that things look Grim. From the day Rick Perry sat on top of the heap, and it looked like ROmney was going to be an afterthought, nothing good has come of this process. Good candidates and bad candidates climbed to the top, only to be torn down.

Gingrich appeared to be the last man standing, but he too flew brightly and then flamed out and crashed to the ground.

Santorum was the sole candidate to get a 2nd chance of sorts, but he was unacceptable apparently to conservatives, who wanted so badly for the electorate to love Gingrich again. Unfortunately, while they succeeded in bringing Santorum back down to earth, so far there is little to indicate that any of that support has gone back to Gingrich.

Instead, Gingrich has a sting of 3rd and 4th-place finishes. Forget asking when the last time is he beat Romney -- when is the last time he beat ANYBODY? (He beat Paul in Colorado by 1%). How often has he even been in the teens?

I think you can guess which colors are whose. Ron Paul features way too prominently in this map -- that's how bad our conservatives are doing, there are several states where Paul has come in 2nd place.

We’ve been ‘Stuck” with Romney since the day Sarah Palin decided not to run.

He’s spent 4 years building an organization and support for this thing. Organization, GOTV, and MONEY wins the nomination, not debates, or wishful hopes.

The one thing I lament about FR, and the people on it, is how little actual ORGANIZING we do, to get our voice out.

Santorum would be a disaster, electorally speaking. If Newt doesn’t somehow find a way to fight his way back to the top, it looks like Romney will be nominated. It appears, to me, that the voters are warming to the belief that Romney is the most electable and that beating Obama is the goal.
