Season 2 ended tonight. I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but I don'tmiss an episode.
I said the same thing about Nazis after watching Inglorious Bastards. You're still allowed to torture and mutilate Nazis. In a comedy no less!
Nazi zombies are really out of luck if they're looking for any sympathy.
Yup. Guilty pleasure.
But Andrea was a Civil Rights Lawyer, so she's a RINO at BEST.
I watch, but I have a question. Several episodes back, when the little girl went missing, how did she wind up inside the locked barn?
Yes, it explains one thing, but it confuses a lot of other things.
(1) If everyone already has the virus, and it just "actives" when people die, why is getting bit by a zombie a big deal? Why did Jim "turn" in season 1 when he got bit? It was only a flesh wound. The bite, by itself, should not have been fatal. If Jim was already a carrier, why did the bite matter at all?
(2) If Jenner at the CDC told Rick that everyone was always a carrier, why didn't Rick stab Shane in the head after he killed him, "just to make sure?" And if he was really testing Jenner's theory--as he later implied to the group--why did he allow himself to get surprised by zombie shane after his idiot boy, Carl, showed up in the field? Wouldn't he have been keeping one eye on Shane throughout that confrontation with his boy?
(3) Finally, if everyone is a carrier, why did we see so many dead non-zombies earlier in the show, like in their cars on the road, for instance?
I like the show--boring Season 2 aside--but I'm a little irked at what appears to be wholesale rule changes mid-stream. I'm aware that this particular rule change is consistent with the comics, but for some reason, I wasn't bothered by it when I read the comics. I am now.

I think his name was Morgan—I’d like to see him againn too. Did you you know that actor is british? I was surprised.(Andrew Lincoln who play Rick is too)
He didn’t exactly blow up the CDC—it blew up on its own because it couldn’t store the virsus safely.
But even if Rick thought Jenner was nuts, wouldn’t the two non-bitten dead guards at the school (or whatever that place was where they went to drop off the kid) have given him a clue that Jenner was right?

A fair question, and one that’s not been answered. There seem to be two possibilities:
Herschel noted off-handedly that before Otis died (was murdered), he was partially responsible for catching zombies that were stuck in the mud at the swamp and putting them into the barn. It’s possible that before Otis shot Carl (and Carl made his miraculous recovery, which is now completely forgotten), Otis caught the girl and locked her in the barn. I don’t remember if Rick and the gang revealed to Otis whether they were looking for a girl before Otis left with Shane, but it’s possible that Otis didn’t realize why those guys were wandering around the farm. Then he was killed, so no one knew to tell Rick that the girl was in the barn.
The second scenario is that Herschel caught her and put her in the barn and then, for reasons unknown, didn’t tell the group. Herschel denied this on one of the episodes, and it does seem rather unlikely. At least in the beginning, Herschel didn’t want them at his farm. If he knew the girl was dead, why didn’t he say so and kick them off his farm?
The first scenario seems more likely, but given the logical disconnect of the characters’ decision-making, I certainly wouldn’t rule out number 2, if for nothing else, maybe Herschel is a glutton for punishment. In any event, yours is an unanswered question.
I believe that was explained (by Herschel) in the Episode right after she was discovered and shot.
Otis Handled the Zombie Captures and Herschel Surmised he had caught her and put her in the Barn and then died before anyone realized (including Otis) that she was the girl Rick and Crew were searching for.
Remember Shane and Otis head out for the Med Supplies that Herschel needs to operate on Carl within a day of Carl being shot. So the focus is on Carl and his plight and the Survivors aren't even all gathered at the farm by the time Shane and Otis head out for the Med site.
We got better.
During that period of time, I went through 1 wife, a few flings, and 2 girlfriends.

The last show: The big suburban ran out of gas but the little car had gas. They should have siphoned the gas from the little car into the Suburban.
If you read the comic, that’s exactly where they wind up.

I love The Walking Dead! How close has the storyline been to the comic?
Kind of close, the writer who writes the comic Robert Kirkman also does the script. He said he would deviate a little from the plot and explore some settings a little bit. Ex. Shane died earlier in the comic, Dale was a regular character in the comics for a while, died earlt, there was no CDC in the comic. I like some of the changes, it follows the comic closely, but I recommend picking up The Walking Dead Compendium, way worth it’s price and fwiw it is a New York Times Bestseller.
Do we run into the black guy from Season 1 again that was in Jericho?
Yes, but it’s later, if the series is going how I think it will. Morgan’s (i.e. the black guy) appearance will probably occur around end of season 4 early season 5. Read the comic it’s awesome, way better than the show jmo.

Heh. Well, in fairness to Rick & the crew, I didn’t think of that, either. :-)
Frank Darabont was fired after the Season 2 opener came into editing and the footage was found to be utterly useless. It was supposed to set up a lot of stuff that was to come back later. With that chunk of the budget gone, the writers were forced to write cheap episodes that mostly consisted of people on the farm having the same conversations over and over. Eventually they were able to dig out of the hole they were left in and get to the good stuff again.
Also, look for T-Dog, the one black guy, to get killed off soon after they introduce Michonne next season. They cast a guy who simply cannot act but they didn't want to kill off the one black character until they brought in another one.
