Home sweet home! This one looks pretty nice, as caves go. I've been in a lot that were rough as a cob.

Proving once again that science is a load of crap; I just saw a show on the History channel where they claimed DNA studies disproved any cross-breeding or common ancestry. Obviously they don’t know what they’re talking about. But it doesn’t matter..........its all about selling books and t.v. shows.

What they found was a number of genetic variants in regions along the genome that both Neandertals and modern humans shared as a result of positive natural selection, "including genes involved in metabolism and in cognitive and skeletal development" In other words, there are distinct genetic differences between African and non-African populations, and these differences include genes that affect IQ. The researchers better be prepared to be burned at the stake once these findings are absorbed by the general public.

With a little time and hammer and chisel, that cave could be improved...

What they are saying, of course, is that Eurasian populations got their smart genes from the Neanderthals ~ which is probably about as popular as the “out of Africa” thesis.

“Any canoodling, then, may have actually started before the two species encountered each other in what is now present-day Europe or West Asia.”
How could they canoodle without actually encountering one another? Long distance canoodling? Internet Canoodling?
Ugly as those Neanderthal guys were it would take more than just canoodling, maybe some cave drawings and dino beer, before he proposed a little gene mixing with those uppity sapien girls.

May be coincidence, but those with Neanderthal heritage are advanced technological societies. Those without, still live basically the way they did thousands of years ago.

I believe they were talking about mitochondrial DNA, and found no evidence of interbreeding, Studies of other parts of the DNA show substantial evidence of interbreeding. I think mitochondrial has some unique properties with respect to ancestry that should be considered when analyzing ancestral interbreeding.

White people have Neanderthal genes and black people don't?
Maybe someday science will be able to tell us if this has anything to do with the differences in social developments...farming...cities...armies etc.
All these things began to emerge as Neanderthal was disappearing.

Lest we forget - Neanderthal’s brains were larger that H Sapiens. i.e., they were smarter. Another fact which hasn’t filtered out to the general public is that the size of our brains are decreasing over time. i.e., we are getting dumber.
To: Citizen Tom Paine
... we are getting dumber Well, it's quite obvious the 43% of the population that are Obamanites who live off of the rest of us certainly aren't getting any smarter!!!
