Use the FR search engine for Joe Horn. This Houston incident, in 2008, shows strong similarities to the current imbroglio in Florida.
Many community rabble pimps, Sheila J. Lee, et al, called for Mr. Horn's head. The Grand Jury refused to indict Mr. Horn for shooting two black, illegal alien burglars. The burglars broke into a neighbors home, during the day. Horn confronted them and killed both when they made aggressive moves toward him, one even had shotgun wounds in his back.

It is just as easy to conjecture that Martin hid in a doorway as Zimmerman walked past in the walkway (recall, Z. said he didn’t know where M was...).
Z. could have been following the dispatcher’s recommendation and, upon turning back to return to his vehicle, M could have come out of the shadows and confronted Z.

Actually the tape doesn’t end there, just the media’s version. Long version includes him stating he doesn’t know where he went and seems to be returning to his truck to wait for police.
True. I’ll buy that part of the analogy. I was just making the distinction that the Joe Horn situation was tremendously more clear-cut. I do indeed regard Horn an all-out hero, whom I admire for his actions. Zimmerman? A lot of variables need to be hashed out. But even in best of circumstances, I don’t think he’s comparable to the 100% heroic actions of Joe Horn, and that’s where I felt a bit uncomfortable with the analogy.

Reread my post. I am talking about the race baiters, media and much of the public making an issue without out the FACTS being known to all.
And if ‘provoking speech or gestures’ typically resulted in fights or shootings the population of the USA would be significantly reduced.

You and I could recite many instances where the media and the race pimps made a bad situation worse.
I am not defending Zimmerman or his actions beyond saying the cops did not arrest him and, to my knowledge, no subsequent information has been presented to require his arrest. This is for the grand jury, NOT grand standing media, politicians (of both parties) and race pimps.
Absolutely. The media has been increasingly unethical and intentionally (and even shockingly) incendiary in recent years, stoking fires from the Duke lacrosse case to the attempt to place blame of the Tucson mass-murder onto Palin. The media has genuinely been morphing from simple liberal bias into a threatening Fifth Column.

what I think happened is:
black kid is big for his age...maybe scary in a hoodie just walking around
latino whatever he is kid followed him around as a wannabe cop
he ignored dispatcher advice..big mistake in this case...but not always
he confronted the black kid who looked at whatever Zimmerman is and black kid who is likely far more streetwise than the media portrays sizes him up as a nerdy wannabe with a gun and no nerve to use it...young blacks see most quasi white people in this light
so after some words he smacks him...likely a sucker punch which is what I have found his ilk are prone to

after a while media gets involved and portrays black kid as though he’s Webster or something cute and puppylike

what troubles me most aside from our anti white media is that our radical DOJ has decided repeatedly not to pursue black infractions yet they will step right in when a black kid is killed by someone none black if it suits their anti white agenda
