Joe Horn and George Zimmerman

Posted on 03/24/2012 7:19:53 AM PDT by Tahoe3002

Use the FR search engine for Joe Horn. This Houston incident, in 2008, shows strong similarities to the current imbroglio in Florida.

Many community rabble pimps, Sheila J. Lee, et al, called for Mr. Horn's head. The Grand Jury refused to indict Mr. Horn for shooting two black, illegal alien burglars. The burglars broke into a neighbors home, during the day. Horn confronted them and killed both when they made aggressive moves toward him, one even had shotgun wounds in his back.

The problem here is that according to the 911 audio I’ve heard, the kid was walking away and Zimmerman was following him. The 911 operator told him not to pursue but he ignored her, confronted the kid and shot him. That is not the purpose of the ‘stand your ground’ law

Well, Joe Horn was unequivocally a hero. He was witnessing an all-out CRIME going on at his neighbor’s house, and took action. I have total admiration for him.

Zimmerman? No actual crime being witnessed? Eh, I can’t quite equate the two incidents.

If I remember correctly, turned out that the guys weren’t black. They were hispanic, I think Columbian. And after that fact came out and his subsequent ‘no-bill’ from the Grand Jury, the whole thing was forgotten about.

However, if anyone wants entertainment, go this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2eid45k-Vk

Watch what happens when Quannell X and his friends try to have a press conference in front of Joe Horn’s house.

I remeber that case...and it was decided appropriately no matter what color those involved were.

The same may prove here. No one is dicussing the possibility that the one calling for help in the tape may have been Zimmermans.

He testifies that he was attacked after he gabve up the chase and was headed back. His attorney says his nose was broken in the fight with this teenager. And I believe, despite his 17 year old young appearance, that this kid was a fairly good sized kid...like over 6 ft and weighnig a couple of hundred pounds...but that to this point is just hearsay. We have to let the fact come in and see what a grand jury does.

It’s being unbelievably politicized and you have the Nation of Islam and the Black Panthers calling for violence, for vengence, and even putting out a wanted dead or alive poster on Zimmerman.

“Trayvon said, ‘What, are you following me for?’ and the man said, ‘What are you doing here?’ Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn’t answer the phone.”

I think it there’s a bit more to it than: he pursued the kid confronted the kid and shot him.

The point I am trying to make is that the media, local and national race pimps, et al, ALL convicted Horn in the ‘court of public opinion’. However, the police did NOT arrest Horn, IIRC, and the Grand Jury did not indict him.

AFTER all the facts were out, Horn was a free man.

Yes, the illegal aliens were from burglars Columbia, but they were very BLACK skinned and the local black rabble rousers (Quannel X) were taking them in a ‘black brothers’ killed by a racist white man.

These cases are not at all similar.

Your version sure makes it sound like cold blooded murder. That isn’t what happened though. You’re as bad as Al Sharpton spreading untruths

The point I am trying to make is that the media and race pimps all convicted Joe Horn in the ‘court of public opinion’. Much like they are doing here.

However, the police did not arrest Horn, at the time of the incident, IIRC, and the Grand Jury certainly did not indict Mr. Horn.

Yes, the illegal aliens were burglars from Colombia, but they were both BLACK skinned so that the local race pimp, Quannel X, came to side with them.

What?
What strong similarities?
So far I haven’t heard that Martin was committing burglary or had gone into anyone’s property?

Just stop with this.
The facts will come out.
As of right now the facts do not support any such comparison.

Yes, I remember that one. I don’t see the similarities though. What do you see them as being?

No actual crime being witnessed?

According to the police report, he was an eyewitness to assault. Up close and personal, and he stopped it. Looks like a clean kill

BS, Maybe not in the events that took place in each case.

They are similar in the media and race pimps creating a ruckus and demanding “justice” because the dead guys are black.

Subsequent evidence found Horn was legally within his rights. We simply do not know how this will turn out with Zimmerman/Martin.

and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell

Or, just possibly, Treyvon was the one doing the pushing? Kinda hard to tell over the phone

Joe Horn’s neighbors stood up for him and did not let the race baiters get away with it.

Oh, I agree. I have no proof bu I suspect it was Trayvon who started pushing/fighting. Trayvon was the first to confront and didn’t answer the question asked of him.

I don’t think Zimmerman would have started the pushing/fighting because he knew full well the police were on the way. It would have been stupid for him to fight.

If it was wrong for Zimmerman to be suspicious and follow, it was wrong for Trayvon to be suspicious of Zimmerman following and confront him.

If one must ignore, so must the other. If Trayvon was where he belonged, so was Zimmerman. Trayvon could walk the whole complex and Zimmerman could follow him the whole way.

I’ll add that if Trayvon was worried about Zimmerman following, he could have called 911, he had a phone.

Wow. Which MSM outlet do you work for? Given the events, that’s typical of the slant and lack of full information we see from them.

Actually, no.

He said “ OK”, after being told not to follow.

The tape ends there. We don’t know if he followed or not. At some point, he says the kid is approaching him.

Need more info to draw conclusions.
