I will not do it!

Posted on 03/29/2012 5:02:14 PM PDT by TexasSecede79366

But Rubio — a prominent Latino lawmaker with roots in the tea-party movement — offers Romney cover with conservatives who have been hesitant to support him.

Screw you Rubio! I will not now or ever again hold my nose and vote for another liberal Republican.

In matters of principle, stand like a rock. -- Thomas Jefferson

Which guns are you talking about? Did he do it by EO?

No. He signed the bill.

Romney signs off on permanent assault weapons ban

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts," Romney said..."These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."

Unconstitutional enough for you?

"A well regulated Militia, being NECESSARY to the security of a free State, the RIGHT of the people to keep and bear Arms, SHALL NOT be infringed."

-- The Second Amendment

I’d love to continue debating you, but I’ve worked 19 straight days, and #20 starts in 7 1/2 hours.

All I’m asking any of you that despise Romney is to put your nation ahead of your pride if he gets the nomination.

Its damn important for millions of people including my kids and my grandson.

Good night.

So he didn’t really violate MA’s constitution...you just don’t like what he did?

No. He violated the state's constitution. The document, drafted by none other than John Adams himself, uniquely invests the legislature with power over the marriage laws. Not the supreme judicial court or the governor. And it expressly forbids any branch from exercising powers reserved to another branch.

I interpret that to mean that if your horse doesn't come in first then you're staying home, right?

Wrong again.

What he meant was he won't vote for a lying left-wing, Progressive Liberal like Romney because his record is so similiar to Obamas.

Just a part of Romney's record:

1. Implemented and supported Gay Marriage
2. Supported and forced Gay Adoption
3. Supported the Brady Bill
4. Implemented a state-level "Assault" Weapons Ban AFTER the Federal AWB was allowed to expire.
5. Supported TARP
6. Believes in Man-Made Global Warming.
7. Supported a state level Cap-and-Trade system in MA.
8. Supported Amnesty for Illegal Aliens (pathway to citizenship)
9. Raised taxes/fees by 300% while governor of MA.
10. Implemented a Socialist Health-Care program in MA called RomneyCare with $50 dollar Abortions and an Individual Mandate.

Sir, your disingenuousness is glaring. You’re not pushing Willard ? Of course you are. You’re defending/excusing/rationalizing him all over this thread. You’re denying he is a Socialist. You also refuse to acknowledge that he is a pathological liar who will say ANYTHING to get elected. You’re attacking those who refuse to support him. You’re barking up the wrong tree, sir, with your talking points.

I’ve known Willard for 18 years since his Senate race. He’s no more a Conservative or loyal Republican than Joe Biden or Emperor Zero. He is perhaps THE most deceitful individual I’ve ever personally witnessed in politics. I expect frauds and liars from the Democrat Party, but once these types invade the GOP and are coronated as if they are saviors riding in on a white horse, this party is (and deserves to be) finished.

I will not abide, sanction or approve of in any way the false set of choices between a Marxist and a Socialist in what would be a Democrat party runoff in November. As I told another one of you apologists last night, you can slit your own throat if you wish. I’m not joining you.

Thanks for your service.....Chief?....Now you go hang your head in shame for denigrating those who gave all. They, like most of us boomers...are not to blame. We have been robbed.

Well, I couldn’t get to sleep, so I’ll spend a few minutes before I try again.

Just as the USSC defines our constitution, the MA SC defines its own constitution’s meaning....right or wrong.

It wasn’t struck down by them meaning as far as MA was concerned, it was constitutional. I wouldn’t expect anything else from a state as liberal as MA.

I don’t agree with it, but I don’t live there...and never would because of sh%t like this. But Mittens didn’t break their constitution from the evidence you’ve presented.

On the guns, once again, I don’t agree with Romney about “assault weapons”. However, the government has banned machine guns and explosives for years. That has not been considered unconstitutional and I’m not surprised that MA would extend that to “assault weapons”. You and I know that unless its fully automatic, its not an assault weapon. I, again, am not surprised MA embraced banning them anyway.

However, Obama using czars, refusing to defend the DOMA, and pushin Obamacare has directly gone against the Constitution of the US. THere are other instances, but I too tired to bring them to mind.

That’s the point I was making.

However, I do appreciate your point of view.

You have about got on my last nerve. I’ve been a conservative longer than you’ve probably been alive.

All I can figure is that you are a particularly nasty Paultard that would rather see Obama win because RuPaul won’t.

Either that, or an Obama operative trying to submarine Repubs and put Obama back in office.

Personal attacks are generally frowned on here, and I believe, still are. Like I said, I’ve been insulted plenty, but you’ve really pushed it.

We’ve sparred enough in years past for you to know I am not pushing Romney. I haven’t supported him in any way, have voted against him in our primary, and will only support him as a last resort.

My enemy is Obama and the Democrats, and if you refuse to run them out of office for whatever reason, that makes you my enemy too.

I had exactly the same attitude when “conservatives” stabbed Bush in the back and put us in this situation to start with, and when “conservatives” sat at home because McCain was such a RINO....saddling us with an outright Marxist along with over three years of economic grief, loss of liberties, and international political castration.

I really hate to see it happen again. I figured maybe people like you would have learned that cutting off your nose to spite your face hurts.

I’m probably wrong, but I still can hope. Four more years of Obama is hard for me to imagine.

The worst thing that could happen would be for Romney to secure the nomination before the Supreme Court rules on Obamacare. The best thing that can happen would be for the GOP to go to a brokered convention that would force Romney to drop his support of Romneycare. He has never done that and doesn’t plan to.

If Romney continues to defy the conservative opinion on health care,Obama will win because there will be no difference between them and conservatives will give up.

Make no mistake. Conservatives will not "give up". The Washington elite have made a choice. Can they live with it?

Pitchforks all around or Thomas Jefferson was just a joke on youtube

Today all Politicians are voters of fortunes - mainly theirs.

Oh absolutely....especially in light of how the World Government is beginning to take shape...... You see this same happening on the world stage as leaders and parties attempt to position themselves for when the decisions are made to appoint those who will sit at that table to Govern the world....which is also why the Arab springs are happening...they need leaders in those countries willing to cooperate with a One world System and the oil revenues are of great importance.

Every nations leader will bring something to the table to make them significant enough to gain further position and power closest to the top when it's in place.....resources, revenue flow, and this will include the wealthiest of churches in time.

Have you looked at the holdings of Romney's Mormon/LDS Church of late? ...Which is why Santorum will never win...he has nothing tangible to bring on board..

please spare us the dramatics.....don't vote...don't vote and bamey gets another round....vote for third party, and bamey is elected....

but please....do not come around on threads complaining anymore after you elect bamey again....

if you can't help with the solution, you're part of the problem...

just leave the heavy lifting to those of us who intend to win the war, not just the battle..
