NEW ORLEANS (AP)—Kentucky has the best players. Kansas has the most heart.

From the first practice in October to the final cutting of the nets in April, that’s how the two teams remaining in the NCAA tournament have made a name for themselves.

They meet Monday to decide the national championship—a game between the Wildcats and their cadre of NBA-caliber talent and the Jayhawks and their unending supply of high-wire comebacks.

Kentucky (37-2), in search of its eighth national title but its first since 1998, has five, maybe six, players who will be playing in the NBA soon. Most are freshmen and sophomores. None are better than Player of the Year Anthony Davis, the 6-foot-10 freshman who had 18 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks in Kentucky’s 69-61 win over Louisville in the semifinals.

Should be a good game. Two power house schools. I live in Kansas area but Kentucky was the one powerhouse school missing, other than UCLA, who had not won a championship in recent years.

Two power house schools.

With a long history.

James Naismith the inventor of basketball was the first basketball coach at Kansas. Adolf Rupp, the coach who put Kentucky basketball on the map played for Kansas about 10 years after Naismith left.

The two most winning schools in college basketball. Kentucky has the second most titles after UCLA with 5 and Kansas is tied for third with 3. Kansas has the most wins in basketball history of any team.

“Kansas has the most wins in basketball history of any team”

Negatory Mozilla, Kentucky has the most wins in College Basketball History. Not sure of the exact number but UK has about a 20 game edge over KU.

UK passed the 2000 win mark two seasons ago, and then Kansas passed the 2000 win mark about mid season and UNC passed 2000 late in that same season.

UK also posess the highest winning percentage over that time.

Kentucky will be going for their 8th title tonight.

I’m convinced the moneymen have instructed the refs and complicit announcers to keep it close - to keep the viewers.
Both charges on Kidd-Gilchrist were blatantly wrong (L’ville game) - the defender’s foot was in the air! - while moving into position.
Anthony Davis was pushed out-of-bounds and later, flopped on.
Gilchrist sits most of the half.
Closer game.
Notice the ad nauseum replays in football?
There were no replays of the bogus charges (the “blarge”).
No replays of a controversial call? In a Final Four?

If they “let them play” & call it fair?
Kentucky wins in a blow-out.
They are that good this year.
But we can’t have that.
We’ve spent too much $$ on advertising, and need eyes.

Money changes everything. It’s not the same game.
Yeah, I’m steamed.

Actually Kentucky is 2nd in NC's with 8 now. Kentucky has the most wins in basketball history. I think Kansas is around 5th or more with 3 NC's.
