Cops: Accused Prostitute Offered Undercover Officer Sex For Cheeseburgers Off McDonald's Dollar Menu

The woman, the detective reported, replied that the pair “could go have sexual intercourse if I bought her two double cheese burgers off the dollar menu at McDonald’s.” The cop added, “I agreed to the deal and purchased the hamburgers for $2.75.”

Kathleen should always be admired! Especially bt “Old People” with LOTS of money!
Whether it be by old folks, or by us!

“Old” is just a description, of course, not a pejorative. I have hopes of being old myself, eventually, and rich wouldn’t hurt, either.

Anoreth went with us on our guest pass and wandered around the garden. An invite to the luncheon would have required her own contributing membership. DP gave her a Mint Julep he didn’t like, and some ice cream chilled with liquid nitrogen. She said she’d seen ice cream made that way at a sushi restaurant, so I guess restaurant supply houses sell liquid nitrogen.

Tom has gone with the Boy Scouts for his Order of the Arrow “ordeal.” I told the leaders to make sure he suffered! DP has taken Elen, Sally, Pat, and James to camp with the Cub Scouts, and I’ll go over early tomorrow with the smaller children and the food for everyone’s breakfast, which is in our refrigerator overnight.

Using a preposition to end a sentence is something up with which I will not put.

We have a single verb that expresses the concept “put up with” ... more than one, actually, as “tolerate” or “endure” can fit different contexts. One of the strengths of the English languages is its multiplicity of ways to say the same thing.

Ah, the turn signal. It is abstruse (is that an actual word?). The concept is nebulous. Don’t worry about it. You probably won’t come across it in any civilized milieu.

It’s really tough to walk a dog when you’re having patellar problems. You have to give him credit for creativity.

Yes, we give Pat lots of credit for creativity, and also for Total Recall. 30 seconds to memorize the 50-flavors-of-jellybeans label!

Anoreth plans to teach him to play blackjack and take him to Vegas when he’s 18. My mom’s friend’s son did that with his autistic-savant son, and made enough money (before they kicked him out of the casino) to take his son on a very nice vacation.

The beauty of capitalism. I hope Anoreth has a fast car.

Card-counting is just fine, until they catch you at it and throw you out. As long as you don’t come back, you’ve made it.

Anoreth got her tires rotated and balanced today, while we were at the garden ... dropped it off at the Goodyear on the way and picked it up on the way back.

"We went for a luncheon to announce (we learned) the opening of a fundraising campaign to build a “children’s garden” at the site. A rich, old couple has pledged $2 million, and other donors (including us, in our small way ;-) are expected to match that."

So how many children will you be expected to donate?

They could have half, if they put our name in large type on the donor-roll monument!

Uh oh. I was pretty careful, so I suppose I can’t donate a heck of lot.

"... I suppose I can’t donate a heck of lot."

I can donate a poem to the "children's garden".

Children Are Flowers

Children are flowers.
That you didn’t know?
Why else would the dirt be,
A place that they grow?

They glory in showers,
Of rain that may fall,
And wave in the breezes,
That Spring brings to call.

Their laughter and smiling,
Are perfumes of mind.
Yes, children are flowers,
My favorite kind.
