This should be a big day at the Obama White House. They are the largest purveyors of pretzel logic on earth!
Let’s do the Twist like we did last summer, Barack!

If it wasn't going to be 91F here today, I'd make a batch of soft pretzels. Mmmm.
But no way I'm going to heat up the house doing that.

;)
I'm fortunate to live in a house that has a former professional chef, so I can get all the dough I need.

The article states, “We found out the pretzel came to America from Europe in the 19th century.”
Another example of flawed journalism. The “Encyclopedia of American Food and Drink” reports the story that in 1652 baker Jochem Wessels was making pretzels in what is now Albany NY - and was hauled into court for using good white flour to do so.

I’m lucky to live about 10 minutes for a premiere pretzel baker here in St. Louis. Gus’s Pretzels rock and you can watch them make them while you wait in line :)

There’s a chain in this area called “Philly Pretzel Factory” that makes outstanding soft pretzels. I highly recommend the “Pretzel Rivets” - a sort of soft pretzel equivalent of McNuggets.

Lucky you....no such thing here ...only bake-off stuff from the frozen food aisle, in the grocery store. :(
