The Scream gallery in Mayfair had exhibited the artwork for a month with no complaints from the public. The work is intended as modern depiction of the Greek myth of Leda and the Swan.

But a Metropolitan police officer who saw the Derrick Santini image from a bus was alarmed.

The image you have linked is from an old sculpture, and is not the picture from Derrick Santini they had up

THIS is the Derrick Santini picture the gallery had up for public display. I can see why the cops did not like the idea of it being visible to the street.

“The law concerned was Section 63 of the Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2008, brought in by the Labour Party government of 2005-2010”

That’s not the picture. That’s a sculpture depicting the same theme, but it’s not the picture the article is referring to.

Anyway, the artist should be thankful. Art world liberals eat up controversy like this. He will be the new hot commodity.

Understood. I have see the picture and think the picture should have been placed in the museum where only museum goers should have been able to view it. I do not believe it should have been taken down.

I hope for the woman’s sake the swan was digitized.

And clarification for the term "swantz" or "schwantz."

Or the origin of the term "schwanstucker."

So because you think it’s disgusting, should no one be able to see it?

That being said, I just saw the pic in post #21. I do not think that should be viewable from the street.

A couple years ago there was a furniture store in my Precinct that had a chair displayed in the front window. The chair was paper mached with XXX-rated photos of men engaged in homosexual acts. Hardcore stuff.

Since it was on my 'beat' I went in and spoke with one of the employees about it and expressed my displeasure since it was a residential block in a nice neighborhood. The next day the chair was in the interior of the store.

Yup. This dress didn’t work for Bjork, and neither did the swan. It died of unknown causes.

I wonder how he would have reacted in elementary school to those prurient textbooks — “See Spot Dick Jane, Go Spot Go.”

Thanks Perdogg.
