I’ve got that recorded on my DVR. Ok movie but a tad on the corny side.

Corny? It was made 80 years ago and is among the first movies with sound.

It starts slow, but the second half is absolutely wonderful.

Fun fact: it was filmed on the leftover jungle set from King Kong.

Yes, corny. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

This is the movie which investigators believe that the San Francisco Bay Area’s ‘Zodiac’ serial killer made reference to in at least one encrypted message to the San Francisco Chronicle and SF Examiner back in the late 1960s/early ‘70s.

I don’t think it was corny, but by 1932 they had sound for a few years. I doubt many silent movies were even made then.

Could be fun to watch. Actually, the first movie with sound is a short with Eddie Cantor from 1923. Internet Archive has it here: http://archive.org/details/eddie_cantor_1923

While the jokes are a bit corny, it’s neat to watch. I’m sure that your movie here could have the same said about it. Thanks for letting us know.

I think they were still going strong. For instance, City Lights, arguably one of the best silent films made is from 1931.

Charlie Chaplin is the exception that came to mind, but I think he stopped doing silents after Modern Times in 1936. The first commercially successful sound film was in 1927. In 1929, sounds films were the majority.

You would prefer SLAVE GIRLS FROM BEYOND INFINITY?

Same story in outer space.

Interesting...

After I read your comment, I looked up the Zodiak killer on Wikipedia. I had forgotten that 'Dirty Harry' was loosely based on the Zodiak Killer.
