Although Ridley Scotts 3D visual feast is no classic, the oozing alien tentacles hit all the right sci-fi horror notes. Be careful what you wish for, especially if it involves figuring out who invented humankind. That's the warning at the heart of Prometheus, a visual feast of a 3D sci-fi movie that has trouble combining its high-minded notions about the origins of the species and its Alien -based obligation to deliver oozy gross-out moments. Ridley Scott's third venture into science-fiction,

Think I’ll skip it. The ads look interesting but I lost my appetite for oozing alien gross out shots about 20 years ago.
Yeah, sounds a little too gross for me.
Never been much of a blood and guts type of movie goer.
Yeah, I prefer my aliens dry and tidy.
Did you say dry tidy whiteys?
You mean that you prefer your aliens to be clean and articulate.
I personally think “Pandorum” was one of the better sci fi movies of recent years despite the fact that nobody ever heard of it.

There was some gross to it but the movie went in an original direction and actually ended on a very positive note.
You lost your appetite for oozing alien gross?
What are you, some kind of vegan nut?
I wonder if netflix has it ... will have to check for Pandorum.
What I’m sick of is the overuse of CGI’s. Just because they can do it, doesn’t mean they should.
Like the new comic book move, The Avengers or whateverit was... we had to watch 10 million alien warriors floating down from the sky, all looking alike and we had to watch 10 million alien warriors killed, only to have more come.
They also had a car chase. Please people! A little originality.
I hope that more people realize how much they did and great shop on the plot, twists and ending. It's a great Friday / Saturday night movie.
The only thing that really irritates me about the movie is a tagline in the ads that said “500 million miles from earth”. I’m sorry but a planet some 25 light years away is going to be a bit further than 500 million miles.
Still a very original and thought provoking movie.
Am so looking forward to this movie..Have you heard Ridley is going to do a prequel of Blade Runner and is trying to get Harrison to be in it..
Thanks Perdogg.
Yeah that was a good movie check out “Moon” with Sam Rockwell and Kevin Spacey not a lot of people saw it but good movie..
I’ll save that ticket charge and put it back into the ever increasing property tax bill.
It's been on SciFi about 1/2 dozen times of late.
It was OK. I could have done with less slash and splatter, and more actual sci fi. But the premise was interesting.
Its a movie that you need to pay attention to. I tried half-watching it while working on my computer.....didn't work.
Another Johnny-come-lately with another just-so story to mislead the masses. 10:1, a dozen years from now we will have a religion based on this movie.
I think we know who invented mankind, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that.
***Its a movie that you need to pay attention to.***
It was on STARZ many times. As for paying attention, it might help if they gave the actors DICTION LESSONS. I could barely make out what they were saying and am still in the dark where the cannibal aliens came from.
That is why I still like OLD MOVIES. Diction was a requirement in those days.
