Simple question here, which monster truck is the greatest of all time? Grave Digger or Bigfoot?

Being that the trucks are no longer competing head to head, this is more a question of fan loyalty and perhaps one that splits down the lines of age. Kids who attending the Monster Jam events coast to coast see Anderson or one of the gaggle of drivers that pilot the trucks at multiple simultaneous events may not even know what the Bigfoot truck is, while older monster truck fans may remember all the movie and television appearances made by ‘Foot and its racing dominance back in the day.

Depends upon the definition of “greatest.”

From a branding and recall standpoint, it would have to be Gravedigger. I’ve never been to a monster truck event and only vaguely understand the appeal of it. But, I could tell you almost exactly what it looks like.

Bigfoot? No clue. The images here appear to be fairly run of the mill Ford muddin’ truck.

I’m pretty sure who’s making the most money on collectibles and fanwear as a result. Whether that translates at the gate, I couldn’t say but it should.

Bigfoot was cool, but Grave Digger rules!

If you have a little boy, and yes, even a little girl, you’d know that monster trucks aren’t just for rednecks.

I have absolutely nothing else to say about the matter, except that my grandson says that GRAVEDIGGER IS SWEET!

I don't give a hoot one way or the other, myself (we hillbillies are more concerned whether it'll climb a rural mountain road at 3,000 feet in a snowstorm than wallowing in a mud bog like a drunken Alabama in-law), but if you ask my 5 year old grand-kid, he thinks life begins and ends with Grave Digger. And I know it would only take about 10 seconds to wander through the house and find a toy Grave Digger he's left here to play with on Tuesday nights (along with the other ten he brings over with him). LOL!

My mom used to work for a little community newspaper which allowed me and dad to get press passes.

Bob Chandler brought the original Bigfoot to the Houston Astrodome and drove it over piles of dirt.

He had just gotten it back from being repaired after being torn up shooting “Take This Job and Shove it.” He was still quite upset at the damage done to the truck.

That movie was where the car crushing deal began.

I can’t remember, were the Cinder Blocks standard or an option on that particular model?

The great thing is that it doesn't matter - they were the first broad-spectrum interchangeable parts. A scientific advancement/breakthrough that has not occured since.
