One must protest to have a Biblical Christian testimony.
That which is counter to God’s word is Counter to Christ.

That rant is so long and rambling that I don’t even know what he was complaining about. He needs to take a course to teach him how to get to the point before readers fall asleep.
I wonder how many at TBL made it all the way through it.
October 2001, how cool!
I love Freep...I spend more time on it than I watch TV or read the newspaper.
See ya’,

I don't think that is a fair statement about Quix. There were MANY times that he was patient, kind hearted and tolerant - probably MOST times on the RF he was that way. There were several people who intentionally instigated and provoked the nasty tone they got back - it was NOT his initial reaction at all - but he loved the Lord Jesus and nobody can truthfully deny that. I saw Quix change over the years on the RF especially - I even got into disagreements with him over certain issues in the later days he was here. But for many years he was a strong co-advocate for the Gospel of grace and did not let the taunts and ridicule effect him. I guess everyone has their breaking point.
I think he was wrong to channel his anger into a rival site that exists to disparage Free Republic and Jim Robinson in particular. That is NOT how disputes should be handled and, in this critical election coming up, we need to band together to defeat the enemies of our great country. I'm sorry that Quix chose to go this route and I pray that he finds peace and the strength to forgive and ask forgiveness. None of us can live without it! Bitterness destroys from the inside out.
I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.
***Dude, Star Traveler invited you to open a Religious Forum thread. Take it over there.
Official freepercide, riding the lightning. This could turn into another bugzapper thread.
So Long Quix, it’s been good knowing you, but you forgot to do the most important thing, push back from the pc and take a break.
I too have had my moments with FR, many brought on by myself, and many brought on by others, but before I ever truly do what I would regret I push away and go do something else.
Even for a few weeks at times, but getting away always makes the heart grow fonder.
Well Quix, you will be missed my FRiend.
Chuck
I didn’t know Quix, the subject of the thread, at all, except to see his/her postings every now and then. Some I agreed with, and some I didn’t. He/she seemed like a sweet, gentle soul, though, if somewhat quirky.
However, WRT your history on the various anti-freeper sites, you are exactly right! Especially with the people (Bug Zapper thread) involved.
I’ve known about your hearing loss for some time and, in this case, it was an asset.
Rogue Yam, if someone signed up as you, and it wasn’t you, I hope the fallout isn’t on this forum. You don’t deserve that, no matter what your opinions are. For someone to do that is just wrong.
I haven’t read much of the thread and, quite frankly, I’m going to forget about it, now.
Imagine the next Democrat if Romney gets in -- he'll make Obama look like John Birch.
Absolutely! And I wouldn’t even stop to put chocoloate syrup on it to make it go down smoother.
See my post 1251. At least you’ll sleep well tomorrow night! ;^)
Amen. They are equally depraved, but in its way, the homosexual movement is more heinous. A woman who chooses to get an abortion, and the doctor who provides it, are making (wrong, murderous) decisions on their own as adults and bear responsiblity for their own choices; they were not led to it by others and by the grace of God may find and embrace true repentence.
Abortion is horrific and a politician who thinks it ought to be available on demand courtesy of taxpayers is so amoral and cold as to be off MY reservation in terms of ever receiving my vote. Yet I'll tell you true that the final straw for me with Romney, the one that fired me up and solidified my determination to fight him with aggression, was reading and confirming how, as Governor in Mass., he was a staunch supporter and promoter of Gay Youth Pride and its "outreach" to kids as young as 12.
Maybe it's because in my lifetime, as it happens, I've seen way too much of the tragedy and sad, lost young men steeped in sin and sorrow that go with the homosexual lifestyle. Jesus made it pretty clear that those "who make little ones to stumble" are bad, bad, bad. How can a misled child-turned-adult find true repentence in his own heart when he was not the one responsible for his sin? It is evil to the core.
I refuse to vote for putting such a depraved agent of misery, evil, and sin at the head of my sweet beloved USA -- and Romney is most emphatically just such an agent. His record confirms it.
Romney is OFF THE TABLE for many reasons, and I would refuse to vote for him even if he didn't have that despicable record of forcing the acceptance of homosexuality upon free people, and depriving them of their right to peacefully refuse to accommodate it. But his record with Gay Youth Pride ALONE is enough to shun him.
Dude! She’s not a dude.
I always assumed Quix was a woman. In retrospect it must have been the irrational weakness of mind and the highly religeous emotionalism one sometimes finds in elderly women.
I always enjoy your posts. That said, I never liked Quix, as he was a nasty, looney toon poster, imo. But, the pile on bothers me because he can’t reply and that ain’t right, imo. Or maybe he can and I’m not aware or whatever. He was nasty to Judith Ann...another poster who was very kind to me who passed away recently and he still blasted her...that ain’t Christian. IMO.
I included Randy and yorkie in this post because I remember those two from the Canteen and both were very kind to me. And because I read their posts on this thread. Randy was especially awesome in posting his music for the troops (and me, making sure he posted my song requests, and always helpful when I asked for computer help). And, yorkie, I recall seeing beautiful pics of her house/scenery. I recall hearing how she was in an accident and lost people close to her,and was injured herself, and praying for her.
I don’t get on here often anymore, and part of it is because of the threatened bannings, etc. Who wants to deal with that crap? And I sure don’t want to see posters dancing on virtual graves of zotted posters (what are we in junior high?). The whole thing is wacked imo. Adults reliving their pathetic adolescence by being the people that tormented them way back? It’s ludicrous. IMO. It leaves little for discussion when certain posters are calling for banning, etc. I miss the fun, the discussion but that’s the way of internet forums I guess.
And he used to be sane........I think.........
:-)
Neither did I Hg. onyz, am reading and at your post. rouge yam, give me some time and a little space FRiend. fwiw rogue yam ... you have my respect. The more I learn about you, the more I like you. May we be FRiends?
Croiky! There goes the thread.
That's a really bizarre claim.
That which is counter to Gods word is Counter to Christ.
Yes, it is.
Protestantism, being counter to God's Word (and true to the "God(dess) in the Bathroom Mirror"), is counter to Christ.
