In a few hours it will be July 20. I take note of this because I have noticed that the date of July 20 is a date in which some very unusual events have taken place.
July 20, 70 AD---Siege of Jerusalem by the Romans.
July 20, 1944---Operation Valkyrie. Assassination attempt on Hitler at his East Prussia HQ.
July 20, 1969---Man lands on the Moon.
July 20, 1973---Bruce Lee dies at age 32.
July 20, 1976---Viking I lander lands on Mars.
July 20, 1993---Vince Foster "commits suicide" in Ft. Marcy Park.

July 20 is the only day ever that my wife was born.
Well, my husband was born on January 2nd and 3rd. All of his life he thought he was born on January 3, as his mother told him...went through school, the military (with a high security clearance)and every job, noting he was born Jan. 3.
When it came time to retire and he sent for his official birth certificate, he discovered he was actually born Jan.2
A judge had to legally change his birthdate to the third!
And we're surprised?
If my Daddy were still alive, he would be 95 tomorrow. He was SO excited that we landed men on the moon on his birthday!

Well, Jewish holidays and events always begin at sundown the night before. Tonight starts the Three Weeks, the last day of which is the 9th of the Hebrew month of Av (Tisha b’Av). Tisha b’Av is historically a day of calamitous events. So, July 20 is the first day (this year, we’re on a lunar calendar, not a regular calendar) of the start of the Three Weeks. I wonder if this has anything to do with your list of bad events...

WHAT HAPPENED ON THE NINTH OF AV?
On Tisha B’Av, five national calamities occurred:
During the time of Moses, Jews in the desert accepted the slanderous report of the 10 Spies, and the decree was issued forbidding them from entering the Land of Israel. (1312 BCE)
The First Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians, led by Nebuchadnezzar. 100,000 Jews were slaughtered and millions more exiled. (586 BCE)
The Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans, led by Titus. Some two million Jews died, and another one million were exiled. (70 CE)
The Bar Kochba revolt was crushed by Roman Emperor Hadrian. The city of Betar — the Jews’ last stand against the Romans — was captured and liquidated. Over 100,000 Jews were slaughtered. (135 CE)
The Temple area and its surroundings were plowed under by the Roman general Turnus Rufus. Jerusalem was rebuilt as a pagan city — renamed Aelia Capitolina — and access was forbidden to Jews.
Other grave misfortunes throughout Jewish history occurred on the Ninth of Av, including:
The Spanish Inquisition culminated with the expulsion of Jews from Spain on Tisha B’Av in 1492.
World War One broke out on the eve of Tisha B’Av in 1914 when Germany declared war on Russia. German resentment from the war set the stage for the Holocaust.
On the eve of Tisha B’Av 1942, the mass deportation began of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka.
In 2004, Barack Obama Gave the Keynote speech at the Democratic Convention on Tisha B’av and was crowned the heir apparent of the Democratic Party. He just might prove to be the most anti-Israel President ever.
The Disengagement from Gaza began on the 10th of Av 2005, leading to years of rocket bombardment from Hamas
On the 17th of Tammuz in 2009 (the day the walls of Jerusalem were breached leading to the destruction of the Temple) US President Barack Obama called on Israel to give up its claims to the most holy part of the City.
The Week of Tisha B’av in 2009 President Obama sent four representatives to Israel, pressuring her to stop settlement construction, and not to attack a country dedicated to destroy her before it becomes a nuclear power.
