One of the commenters on the Adam Smith "apology" VIDEO made the astute observation that Smith's "apology" sounded a lot like the "apology" made by Wesley, a hippie character in the movie "Forrest Gump," after he hit Jenny. I looked up the script of "Forrest Gump and the commenter was dead on in the comparison. Here is Wesley's "apology" to Jenny:
WESLEY: Jenny? Things got a little out of hand. It's just this war and that, that lyin' son-of-a-bitch Johnson. I would never hurt you. You know that.
And just like Wesley, Smith brings up extraneous political stuff to excuse his behavior. Also note that Smith calls Rachel "collateral damage." Sheesh!
But he’s not gay. He said so himself.
This idiot makes a pathetic attempt at apology and comes off looking like a faggot whose ox has been deeply gored.

I was thinking the same thing.we havent heard the last of this AH and if I were Rachels guardian(s) I would be on the alert and even bring this “apology” to the attention of the local law enforcement people.
He wanted to be an internet sensation, a hero who’s video was shown on every news cast but it backfired. And he is only sorry that it did.
He basically says that he is a strong supporter of gays but became incensed that Chick-fil-a had so many supporters at that particular restaurant that day that he became unhinged on this girl in the drive thru.
The unfortunate thing is that some sappy liberal bleeding heart will hire this AH precisely because of his belittling rant.

Taranto of the WSJ’s Best of the Web, uses that phrase, “It’s just this war and that lying SOB Johnson”, frequently in his column, usually for similar ‘apologies’.
